I am done with this crap...Not because i sure dont like harleys but its seems as if some people are taking the harleys as a lifestyle instead of transportation purpose as they are...I have been on the rode for like 20 years now and i have seen more harleys along side the rode with like 4 other guys looking at them then all other brands combined....dont get me wrong made in the US is a good idea but i like reliability also and like that other guy said about HP...A 600 cc sport bike makes around 120 horse...It takes THOUSANDS of dollars to get even 100 out of a harley...They have a great company but they are running on technology from the 70's....Even the jap cruisers are hugely detuned just so they can get the sound of a harley...They dont have all the pop and fart that a harley does but that i guess is up to who likes that sound....As far a twins go heck ya i love the sound but it sure better be tuned...Give me a ducati or a rc51 anyday...

Its pretty sad when you claim to be the oldest bike company and you cant even design your own (good) engine that you have to call upon jack roush and porshe to make an engine for you and i feel to date its the best one yet and it still could go a ways....Thats all from me on this subject...I am done

Ok I'm glad your done, Glad to see ya got that off your chest.

Husky does not own Dolmar yet.......... Makida does

Whoa now

Man that took a slant off to the left.

Just so no one thinks I'm a moto snob, I also own-

78' KZ1000 the original super bike
74 Yamaha 650 special runs like stink and easier to maintain than a trumpet
99 XR400 for woods bashing

It aint about who rides what, it's about bein in the wind and havin fun.

That goes for both sides of the fence too, ricers are anti Harley as much as Harley guys and clubbers are anti rice.

You are a little off kilter with your opinion of maintainence on HD products there Rob. Your opinion might hold true with AMF and prior bikes, but the latest HD products are every bit as reliable as anything else on the road. If they suck so bad why are they so heavily emulated??

Yeah, also throw the lifestyle thing out there, how many guys catch grief for wearing a Stihl or Husky hat or shirt? Let people be people brother! I am so heavily tattooed it would amaze you, but I also have a college degree and knock 65K a year, I can hold my own in most conversations and present myself as a person, not a heathenistic berserker bent on the destruction of your womenfolk.

Next time someone flies by you on a loud bike, either throw a bottle or give a wave, either way the world will still spin and someones opinion will differ.

Wearing a Stihl full protection helmet, with tobacco spit inside the screen.
Black leather racing gloves,
A rainbow colored cape.
Elbow and knee protection.
And a boom box in the front basket, blasting out,
"Born to be Wild"!

Oh, and curb feelers.
