Any Michigan people going down?? I"m considering but that's one heck of a drive, would prefer to share the travel expenses w/ one or more.

Anyone coming have a breaker/spinner? If so, and they're willing to help me out, I'd like to order some piece/parts now so I can do some chain length changes. I've got 3 24" skip chain loops for the 361 that I'd like to lengthen to 28 for the 372, some 28" full comp loops that I'd like to break down to 18" to fit the 18" bar, and 18" chain for the 361 that needs one more DL to so they'd fit the 372.

Yep, the 361 is history and I'd like to alter the old loops to fit the new saw.

I have a spinner .I'll bring the diegrinder and a vice and show you how to connect chains without a spinner. You will need some tie straps and backers,Baileys have them by the thousands.

For those attending

You do not need to worry about bringing a truck to haul wood in.. I will deliver it to her at a later date.
I have decided not to waste the time loading and hauling wood. Figure our time will be better spent playing with saws.
I have some nice ash and hickory logs ready. We can cut all the cookies we wish. I will toss em in the new boiler.
I figure we can do lots of timed cuts and comparing saws with more daylight over loading firewood.

For those cutting firewood try to cut the lengths to about 18-20 inches.. lat time someone cut a lot of 14-15 inch pieces.. LOL That makes more pieces to pick up. It would be ok if I was a selling it.. But in giving it away.. I would rather pick up 3 20s over 4 15s. LOL
Remember to bring safety gear, I will provide dinner and drinks.
Bring all your saws you wish to run.plenty of wood to cut. if we run out I can drag up more

I pulled some more trees out today

I think my father was afraid we were going to run out of wood to cut .. So We topped a few tops and threw the limbs into the ditches and pulled out some pretty nice maple.

If anyone wishes feel free to take a pick up load home with you.. I will never ever get all that I have down cut up before it rots away.
I have a couple of nice straight consistent logs to race and make cookies on. some Maple now too. I might drag a piss elm up too if I get a chance.
Hoping to see all the old faces and meet some new ones too.

Eric,

I would love to be there, but my wife has already got me scheduled for that whole weekend.

Anyone want to do some trading while we're together? I've got a barely used 24" 375 .050 Windsor Speedtip bar in small Stihl pattern (was for my 361) and I could use some loops of chain.. either 93 link semi- or round chisel skip or 68 link full comp round chisel. Don't know if anyone coming buys chain by the roll or not... I'd like to, but really can't justify it.

I hadn't thought of that, but it's not a bad idea. I've got a few bars, including some brand new ones, that I don't need, and some other stuff that went with saws I used to own. I'll have to do some looking around in my stash.

If anyone wants to try something that is in my signature, let me know. I will probably also bring my little Homelite 200 to run against Al's Craftsmans, Remington PL-5 (leaking gas and all...), and maybe my Ford Eagle if I have time to redo the carb and make a new air filter. I might be able to borrow a stock ex-HomeDepot 6401, if anyone wants to try that out.

Its not in your signature, but I read a post where you said you have a Axe or hatchet you use to make kindling with I would like to see or try?
