Prosecution ? ..over a few chainsaws ?...go piss in the wind , it wouldnt be worth the effort..someone just needs to shake that kid down the right way..thats all...how would he pay restitution anyway ?...are they gonna put a lien on him against the nothing he owns or ever will not own ?..someone close to him needs to actually go see him and say nothing about it on this forum.
You are correct, but the site cannot condone a physical confrontation and support it, AS could be liable then, but as you say things should not be told here.

I get that , theres alot of tulips in the world..but the " legal " route would be a total waste of time and resources anyway..didnt that kid have to borrow money to get home from tree monkey's ?..he obviously has nothing , just dont kiss and tell...jail isnt gonna teach that kid much other than his shoes are a valuable asset along with his toothbrush and poop paper..he might learn what chocolate tube steak tastes like..but guys arent gonna get their stuff back.

Legally he'd end up owing restitution to everyone who could substantiate a claim.

It may take him a while but sooner or later when he's gainfully employed he'd have to start paying people back.

If only rocks would bleed.

How much of this stuff can be traced on paper ?..seems like alot of it would end up a he said she said situation..other than his paypal transactions or some other kind of proof its not gonna work .

I see this thread is farther of track than the previous moody thread.
Not yet but give it a few pages.

I do think folks are missing the boat on this. If they report the thefts and get him a date at court, even if he doesn't show he's now a wanted man in the eyes of the law. If he gets a real job his wages will be garnished until everyone is payed back. Otherwise for all we know he could have an aka/dba elsewhere and be conning more folks with a similar gig.

There are instances where people deserve a punch in the face and this isn't one. Someone goes over there to beat his .... How do you know he or the person he lives with isn't packing and blows them away when they come after him.

Anyway, I'm out. This is being un-stickied.

Carry on.

Victims of theft should also be aware that having serial numbers on record are meaningless from a legal standpoint unless they are on file with a police theft report.
In other words...If you don't report your stolen saw to the police then you cannot legally claim it if you ever find it.
