I hope he did it on purpose for the insurance. Cuz if not, he really saved ALOT of money doing it himself.

My guess is that the tree was probably leaning away from the house so he just started cutting from the back without a notch.

That's what I was thinking too. Lucky only the truck! But they didn't seem too upset about it anyway.

If we ignore the truck and the fact that it's extremely unlikely the feller was trained, AT ALL, this video DOES sort of hint at the unpredictable nature of a core-rotted tree.

Lot to ignore though.
