So yesterday I was working with a friend on one of his jobs, and wound up getting poked in the hand with a hawthorn spine. Now one of my fingers is swollen and am hoping it goes down soon. Anybody have any experience with this?

Hawthorn spine

Yes. I have this happen all the time. Never done any research, but I've been told there is some chemical that causes it. Usually goes down in a few days.

DR Dan says to soak in very hot water with salt, followed by another soaking of peroxide followed by some boo boo cream and a princess ban-aid and your liddle piddl finger will be allright in the morning. I think Epsom salt would be good but any would work. And keep your tetnus up to date.

All the time, try to get the tip of the thorn out, usually breaks off in there for me.

And next time don't let your voice crack
