Does the saw balance any different with the weber handle ? or feel close to the stihl one ?

I think it balances just about the same. I didn't weigh the stock 3/4 wrap (what Stihl calls a full wrap) or the Weber but there isn't much weight difference.
I had one on my 660 and I couldn't tell any difference.

A little free time this morning while I'm waiting for the phone to ring...here's some pictures.

That's all. And before you ask...the stock muffler will be history as soon as the dual port arrives. I might even make a triple port out of it and see how it runs. The 660 ran good with a triple port.

Correction: The 660 RUNS good with a triple port.

Cody would be running it today but his 4-runner is still in the shop and the Dodge needs a water pump (I think).

i have a triple port on one of my 440 hybrids ,that saw works real well ,need some of Nates dogs on that saw ;)and some dirt lol ,that thing is cleaner than my saws even ,and that's bad ,if look at the dual port muffler it has been opened up some ,a flat raker file and a round file work good for this 461 dogs 041.jpg 461 dogs 037.jpg

Okay, I confess I cleaned the saw up a little for the pictures.

I like those dawgs that Nate makes. He does fine work.

Any idea what Stihl wants for the stock 3/4 wrap? I'd like to get rid of mine and I don't have any clue to what they cost. I called the saw shop this morning to get a price but the only guy working...I think he was the janitor...didn't know how to look it up.

i think the last one i bought was about $120 ish in price at the dealer ,i put them on my 440 saws ,they balance nicer with a 32 bar than the 440 handles do

these saws respond real well to port work if you are thinking about having some done ,a lot of tourque hidden inside these lil guys ,a 460 coil and filing about 1/3 off the flywheel key helps when limbing ,i hated this saw till i swapped the coil ,even ported ,when limbing it kept bouncing off the rev limiter ,bucking and falling it was fine with the stock coil though

Madsens is $110 for one. I got one a couple months back.

it does look a little farther farward to me.....or I am just justifying it to myself lol.......witch one to put one of theses on first................
looks nice Bob
I guess y'all never get half wraps out there, I am still looking for a 044 half wrap. they fit on the skidder better lol.

i'm sorry but half wraps suck. was up behind owl's place today dropping some alder and maple off the road, i.e. steep, can only work off of one side of some of the trees, so had to do a lot of backbarring. need to mod one of the 046 3/4 's to fit on the 036pro. had the 272 but it would have been overkill on some of them . used it for buckin so i did not have to stoop . and bob mine are still layin in the truck dirty.

when i'm knotting and reachin i would rather just flip the saw than back bar just better control for me when things get pinchy. ;)
