Those are some real nice shelves. :dizzy: I thought about using 1" square but have always took the cheap way out with wood. I figure the shelves the saws sit on deserve to sit on the material they were intended to cut:)

Lee, my wife thinks I am crazy collecting all the old saws I do but when I showed her your collection she just shook her head and said that you took the cake. She thinks that because you can only use one saw at a time that you only need one.
I countered with, "Well why do you need so many dresses?" But that did not fly either. So I printed out pictures of your collection and stuck them over the computer. I am going to wear her down. Lee, you are my hero.:)

Yep, Lee is taken the heat off of some of us, thanks Buddy.

Yes, but....Lee doesn't get any heat...

SO! :chainsaw: back on topic...

Any one else have any other good ideas besides shelves, attaching boards to the floor joists ( I think I will use that for chains/bars...) and hanging saws up (by the rear handle??)

Thanks guys! :)

organization

GR, whats wrong with your organization. Make a pile and build a building around it will work for all of us. Just kidding. Actually not a bad mess, after all you have a confirmed case of CAD.

This room is 16x22. There has been another
8 foot section added to the right of the shorter
shelfs. Theres 175 saws or so in this room now
and over 125 have bars on them. Might not be
the ideal system for you but works great for me.

I hate to necropost but... wow!!

I knew Lee has a ton of saws but a picture is worth several thousand cc's!!

Outstanding!

How things have changed almost 6 years later. This is just a portion of my current collection.

I also had to build a rack for my extra bars, there are 150 hanging there.

Most of my chains are in boxes on shelves.
