Another red saw! This one has never seen fuel, maybe the big one is his daddy?

Nice saw, I like my 750, you will too! It just feels like power in your hand and music to your ear when it gets going in a cut. Something about an old saw, the sound just takes you back!

Like those dawgs on that saw too, are they the PNW versions?

Yeah I like the power and feel of the 750. When the 750 first
came out I bought a brand new one. It was a great saw.
The dogs were the same as this one. It could of been a west coast
dog they sent here.
I bought Super EZ's, Super XL'S, and SLX 925's brand new.

Here's a job I was doing back in 1978.
I did not buy the 750 yet at this time.

I have the west coast version of the 925 also, like the one I see in the picture. They were and still are something! I remember my father telling me in the woods....when you hear the saw start, it's time to stop hunting and come back, the truck needs to be loaded!

I can hear that saw today and every time i start mine his voice rings true....the truck needs to be loaded..

looks like a eucalyptus in that picture....must be California!

Yes eucalyptus and southern California LA county.
My dad was a Homelite guy back in 1960's & 70's
For years I used just Homelites.

For years I used just Homelites.

Learned on a XL-12, my dad wielded a 955 IV with a 28" bar. I'll never forget.

Quick story, about 4 years ago a saw came up on ebay from my home town, guy claimed he got it from the small saw shop in town and said the year he bought it, about the time my father traded that saw for an 036, dad only used that shop and the years added up perfectly. I was out bid because I didn't really know how to bid....bet my last dollar it was his saw! I really like the old Homelites, they are my favorite saw to this day! He stopped buying them when they went to hell, that was what he always had and probably why I keep buying them.

Just something about a Homelite that makes you feel like your....cutting wood!

new to me saw...

Glad to see you got Ron's XL904 Cliff. Didja get it running right yet?
