Nice score (well except for the 150.....gotta give the 150 fans grief, LOL). The 330 and 750 will need intake boots.

The 750 is gonna need more than an intake boot.... :frown: The stuff that's external is a known, I haven't had time to check anything else out yet. Had to go do some running with the wife and my boy. I got the 150 since I need a recoil spring for the one I already have.

Waiting on a phone call about a pristine XL...in a homelite case.

The 330 needs a couple of springs, the air filter cover gasket, and I figured out that the fuel and oil tank positions are reversed. Also, the model and serial number tag is missing, so if anyone can help me sort out which UT number this is, I'd be grateful. Gas tank is empty and the oil tank is full. I didn't comp test it, but I screwed a plug in and when the starter would catch(one of the springs is the little wire that holds the ratchet), it felt like good compression. The P/C looks good.

The 750... I had no idea of what it was worth until I looked for parts on ebay. :waaaht: I looked in through the plug hole since I didn't want to remove the muffler and everything that I can see looks good. Blows 140ish on a comp gage, and I'm not sure if the decomp is being activated or not, so comp may actually be higher. I need a rear handle, throttle trigger, etc., and the deflector + screws for the muffler. I'm going to have to look at the bar tensioner to see what's going on with it. Couldn't get it off since the handlebar is bent in a bit. If anyone has a parts source, service manual, IPL, etc. for this one....I could use it. This dude is going to run and cut wood again.

I forgot to mention it earlier, but those three saws and a quadrajet carb set me back $25. I figure the 750 by itself would have set me back about $11.25......

UT10604A on mine aug of 1989...check the date code on the carb? It might be 6 weeks before your saw's MFG date.

I'm suspecting some clutch/drum issues with my c5. Sometimes when running wot the chain just stops while the engine doesn't. Anyone tell me what the clutch and drum diameters are sposed to be? The sprocket/drum on this thing is in remarkably good shape considering the age and shape it was in when I got it.

Bump

Jerry, I have a good looking C series clutch on my parts carcass. Lemme know if you need it.

Are they LH or RH threaded?

I found a bunch of IPL's and, apparently, there were about ten different UT numbers for the 330. I'll check the carb, didn't think of that. Thanks. :msp_thumbup:

The clutch hub/spider is retained with LH threads......................while the nut that holds the drum in place (these are inboard clutches for those that don't know) is 'regular' RH thread. It's weird to see both LH and RH threads on the PTO end of the crank......but that's how Homelite did these..:msp_thumbup:
