Model 35 Canadian unit

I finally got to look at my latest find which was bought sight unseen. It has seen better days but for $10.00 I couldn't resist.View attachment 302024View attachment 302025

This one has a chainbrake which is more common in Canada and appears to be a version of the 350. Needs a recoil spring, a new brake band, a few nuts and bolts. Bar is pretty much worn out as is the chain. Seems to have reasonable comp but cant check due to recoil out to lunch. Muffler is tricky to remove to check the P&C, seems you have to really strip it down to get at the bolts, The exhaust exits on the bottom of the cylinder, like the mac10-10 series then is bent round and up to the muffler port. This one may sit for a while as I have some other saw projects which look easier.

Welcome back Lee. Do you have a different accent now?

No still mid-atlantic

Welcome back Lee. Do you have a different accent now?

I spent 16 years there so it's a second home. Good beer and sausages! Well I spent a bit more time, got the recoil freed up dropped a little fuel down the carb and off she went. It doesn't appear to have one of those infamous carb boots like the 330 and 350.Good fun!

mcculloch 5-10E a coil before the show i'll bring it along.
i just hope rupert shows up with the steamer my dad did the inspection on so i can bug him into another heated discussion about keeping things in perfect condition....
