Hanging out to dry I will be glade when its dry enough to put it back together and be done with it I have the decals for it

I tried the email address when you pm me with it and it kept giving me a message that it had failed to send. Joyce also sent me a pm today with her email and it failed again not sure what the deal is. I tired to send it from my gmail account because my hotmail is always so full of junk and wants to send things to the junk mail file but maybe I will have to try that cuz something is not working here. Also going to send her a pm on here and see if I can contact that way. Now that I found this site I check here much more that I do my email

Picked up a Homelite xl-400 auto today. Anyoen know of source for piston on this model?

Everythign else on the saw looks servicable but these seem to be a little more uncommon

Seen a few NOS pistons for these on feebay over the last couple years.

Piston is #68365. Rings are #68068. Let me know if you need an IPL. That's a saw I'd like to find. A couple have been on my local CL over the last couple years. They're been sold before I could get to them. A friend has a nice looking one with a smoked P/C. Will try to get that from him............and grab a P/C on feebay when they come available again.

Got this today. The guy told me that it would fire on carb cleaner. Figured it was probably the boot or the carb. Pulled the carb off and it was CAKED. Put it back together and it runs great.

Anyone know where to get a carb kit for a tallotson hs4d? The old blue and white XL. I got a few weeks back is in bad need of a carb rebuild to get her singingbut I have not been able to find a kit online searching. Is it just so old that they don't make kits for it any more or am I just not looking hard enough? If I can't get a rebuild kit what is my next opption?

IDK what a Tallotson HS is, but I do know what a Tillitson HS is. . You can find them any any auto parts stores or hey can at least order them in for you. Should cost around 10 bucks. The HS was one of the most common carbs out there at that time. And it is very easy to get kits.

Use RK-23HS. They are used for all HS carbs and are easily bought on line or from repair shops

Got this saw recently from a member here. Spent part of yesterday/today spiffing it up a bit. Unusual to see a full wrap on such a little guy ... helps a little saw think it's BIG ... (Don't bust me too bad over the B&S recoil handle ... I'm working on a replacement ...)
