I like the other one I have but it's much rougher. Light and cuts fast but alas, only 77cc. We weren't allowed to have 82cc saws beacause of the in-breeding on the west coast. It resulted in tree huggers.

OK so what is the secret of the .325 sprocket combo? I have three and find them to be very willing little saws. I have thought that a lighter chain might add a new edge too

Here's the recipe Lee. Grab a Homelite A-65987 clutch drum (2 on ebay right now for 10 bucks) and one standard .325 9 pin rim sprocket. Use your existing needle bearing and clutch. (Note: U must use the "S" type clutch. A 3 shoe will not work). Toss it all on and match with a .325 58 gauge Husqvarna small mount. Top it off with a 72 loop of your choice. Walla! Serve with chips!

Yes I saw it. I thought about biding on it when it it was around $400 but did not.

I hate to get that kind of money for any of my saws..ebay bidders will send it back if it has a scratch on it, even if you listed it in your ad...buyers remorse or wife pressure I guess.

Well I got it running today. It pulls a 24 great with semi chisel.

I would like to put a 28 on it. There are a few nice nos 28 homelite bars on ebay. You think it will pull a 28 with authority? If not I think I will keep the 24 on it.

Nothing wrong with running a 24" on it...........but it'll definitely run a 28" without trouble if it's healthy. My SXL-925 ran the heck out of a 28" bar wearing full comp semi-chisel in oak. A 550 is a stronger saw than a 925.

Got the 923 all buttoned up, will have to tune in the wood on account of the governed carb. Thought I would get a pic of big and little sence I have new bars for both.

Nice coupl'a work horses up there perched nicely upon the "crummie". I noticed the the muffler on the SEZ is one ive not seen before I wondered if it was a type of forest muffler or a mod job?
