Homelite-Homelite. My 55 pound monster.

I have been working on this for the past two weeks I just test started it tonight
so I could see if everything is spinning good without any problems and it is.
I have had this idea for a long time. So I went to work on it. The use of two power
heads to spin the chain at a higher speed then the engine turns by the gearing but having
the power to keep it cutting faster. It was dark when I got it done. So the real test will be
when I put it to the wood. Its set up with all rim sprockets so if I need to change to different sizes I can. Both power heads are stock with 175 psi of compression.

The rear handle is rubber mounted on both sides to cut down on the vibration and not to scratch the

Waiting for various parts for a couple of project saws I pulled out my XL923 and was disappointed to find that someone may be me had tightened the bar on without lining up the bar adjuster. Of course the adjuster is bent to the point that it will not turn forward or back, at least it has not punctured the casing. There is a lock nut on the back side so I will try to work on that end, trying to remember that it is surrounded by softer metal!
I was also just looking at a xlao parts saw which seems to have a fairly nice P&C. I think I stole the fw and coil of this one to feed a better saw which had no spark. If anyone needs parts they are yours for the postage.
The 923 also has a strange extra piece that sits on top of the clutch cover. Doesn't seem to do much, any ideas? It is sheet metal rather than a casting.

Yeah. I started with A 10. I did not want to go to big right away.

I had a look at the IPL and it's called, Guard-chain. It's supposed to be there. I'm not sure what it does other than the name is an obvious hint. I hope you get it running well.
They are a very strong, dependable, running saw. If the auto oiler system doesn't work, the tubing and pickups could be plugged up.
I'm pretty sure you will be impressed by it.

I know its not that fast.
I am going to make some sprocket changes and maybe pipes too.
I am not happy with it yet. I want it faster.
I am happy that everything worked without any problems.

Red but doesn't matter beggars cant be choosers lol. I have a square type muffler but I like the stacks better, see what you have, thanks a million.
