That's what I thought also. However, she felt uncomfortable with it. She said she thought it'd be a little too big for her. She wanted to stay in the 2hpish range. I even thought the 250 and the 290 would be ok, she said NO, she wanted the little 210, she likes around 2-2.5 hp dude. Hell, I'da gotten her a 353 if she wanted. We don't need her doing anything more than cutting small stuff and limbing a few trees so why get her something she doesn't want eh?

thats understandable......you doing good to get her interested in anything like this....girls always seem to watch me do all the work and take no interest in it if they are gonna get dirty....

my dude is right....up until last summer he was doing the cutting and i was doing the splitting, because even though i love saws, i fear them and respect them because injury is very probable and one thing i do not like is pain...dude got me comfortable with the 020 stihl until i realized that i was prone to a lot of kick back and then he wanted to get me something with a chain break....thus the husky 137.....the 210 stihl is still something i am comfortable on and lets me work on my cutting skillz...it isn't that i can't handle a heavier saw....it is just easier for me to control the smaller ones...maybe someday i will be ready for something bigger....slow and steady gents...slow and steady.....but you guys sure boost a girl's ego and confidence! you guys are starting to feel like big brothers or something...haha

Well to be honest I've reading this thread and I think the hubby is a very lucky man to have a wife that enjoy's the outdoors with a saw. Not many men get the pleasure of that. Most only hear fill the stove honey. This lady here is the kind of wife all sawmen would love. I mean think about it, he gets to say honey could you fill the stove, man what more could a sawman ask for.......

yip

Still not sure how I landed this one, but either way, I'll just enjoy it till i wake up eh?

I wish my wife was as appreciative of all of the saws I've bought her over the years!

:hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange: Ain't THAT the truth.........

She never appreciates any of it, the chainsaws, chipper, tractor, climbing gadgets, ropes none of it. Go figure. Guess I'll just have to keep storing the stuff in the shop for her till she changes her mind, can't take 'em back, right?:dizzy:
