Edwardo, you screwed the pooch right off the bat by leaving negative feedback without contacting the seller. Then compounded it by getting on this site and making paranoid accusations against people who were trying to help you. This is why so many people won't sell saws on ebay.

Bingo! I was thinking about selling one or two on there this spring, but now I'm rethinking that idea.

Yup just sold a Sears D-49, Sears 3.7 both Power Sharp versions a Remington Mighty Mite and a David Bradley to the same seller. He probably would have bought more if I had them ready. I had one of these saws on eBay but, took it off after edwardo bought it, even after leaving the negative feedback on my profile. I’m probably not going to sell anymore on eBay after this last ordeal unless it’s really rare and not drawing any attention elsewhere.

The one thing I would like to see come of this is edwardo's eBay username. That way I could block him before he ever bids on anything of mine. It's obvious from the beginning that nothing can be done to make him happy. That's not to say that the seller was completely in the clear on this deal, but I'd rather deal with him than the buyer.

Even if the sale is completely honest and exactly as described a dishonest buyer can say it isn't and ebay will take their side and force a refund but not necessarily a return. If you refuse to pay return shipping the guy gets his refund plus the merchandise.
If you don't wish to sell to "eduardo" or anybody else you can block him from any more purchases from you...just go to the bottom of the ebay page to site map and you'll see it. I've blocked several buyers including the last one I sold to..

It's deals like this that have helped me decide to keep my selling locally...doubt I'll hurry back to ebay to sell anything...just too much aggravation.
It happens every now and then. I've been ebay selling for years I just had a similar situation. I dealt with it. The buyer tried buffaloing me and I told him send back the saw. I will pay the shipping. No big deal to me.

Yep.....and $150 chainsaw that is damn near 60 years old at that.....If you take notice I have a 1-52 in my sig....the only reason it's there is my BIL bought it new in Dec. of 1961, cut pulp with it daily until mud season (April) of '62 and I can swear it hasn't cut a full cord of wood since then....it has suffered from sitting more than work. Why in the world would "Edwardo" ever assume that for $150 he was receiving a 55 year old chainsaw that he could immediately put to work in the woods and make money with.....and furthermore why would he want to....a two man crosscut is just as fast and much more pleasant to listen to....as long as the fella on the other end of the saw ain't whining about what a raw deal he got on it.....the seller showed a video of the saw running....did not advertise anything other than that...it will run...that makes it a "runner" as opposed to a non-running saw in my book. It's not a museum piece....it's an old beat chainsaw...slow, loud and ugly.....it is what it is ...you bought it...enjoy!!
You put that in better words than I could've Cantdog

Haha, I’m the bad guy here! Did anyone actually visit the listing & read the description? “Runs great!”
“Nothing missing or broken!” Tell me people, is that what I received?
But I’m The bad one, because I called someone A name. Oh & I’m harassing members by accusing them of being the nefarious seller! & you call ME thin skinned!!
So any of you with that stance expose yourselves to me as another nefarious minded salesman that will take advantage of folks if they can. Look at how disgruntled you people are about someone leaving negative feedback..
From now on, I’ll be buying chainsaws in person as these type of things don’t happen.

To read that some of you determined the seller to be the more credible of the two us is mindblowingly hilarious but not surprising based on who some of you are..
If you people want to buy saws from a man that blatantly lies about the condition of his merchandise, it’s your choice.
If you want to block me from buying your merchandise on eBay or any other venue, it’s your choice. I just thought I’d share my misfortune so someone else might avoide such.
I got some replacement parts & will have the saw up and running in the sense that it was described to me very soon. Then I’ll be able to go out & cut some cookies & maybe fall a tree once & a while with it, like I intended.

I will think diligently before attempting to join this AS circle jerk any time in the distant future, that’s for sure!

Well I figured who ever got this 30 pd monster would just display it. I cut two 20 inch logs with it done really good. For the $150 price I figured he would know it needed tinkered with. Hell I said it wouldn’t start initially unless primed with starting fluid. Just a cry baby wanting to start something. As far as eBay goes I’ve blocked him and that’s about all I can say about that. It’s being handled if I posted the emails you guys would be shocked. Sorry he came on here with this crap I just did to defend myself.
You can do a feedback dispute through the sellers page for " Abuse of Feedback" If you corresponded through Ebay and the public part of the feedback will be removed if you indeed offered to refund his money and pay the shipping. I just did this last month. The feedback still registers as a negative, but ebay removed it from my profile.

I just sold a good running hard to get saw with many NLA parts. It was listed as a parts saw that a tree had fell on. I put on 11 pictures that clearly showed the twisted condition. A guy asked me if the handle was good. Which was pictured. I said it was. And it was but it had that small crack near the throttle lock lever, that I honestly didn't see. And when I say a small crack, it was about an 1/8 inch stress crack and not a result of the tree falling on it. I have saws that I use now with a bigger crack in that same exact spot. He also said I didn't mention the cracked recoil cover that was Mr. Obvious obvious in the pictures.

Well I had a guy make me offers on the saw for 2 months which I rejected with counter offers. Finally the guy offers me what I sent as a counter offer. The guy didn't have the saw for more than an hr. and he's sending me messages and fuzzy cell phone photos about the stress crack in the handle. I told him send it back and I'd pay the return shipping. He wanted a $45 dollar refund because he said that's what he saw a handle for sale for that saw. I told him send the saw back and I'll refund the shipping if the saw wasn't taken apart. He refused and left me a negative. Ebay removed it and he kept the saw. I left him a scathing positive feedback.
