I would love to be able to help, and pay foreword some of the help I have been given, but that's getting about 3 hrs from home for me.

Some people amaze me at what they post on ebay for local pickup only. It don't surprise me that someone from that area would do that though.

LOL. Thanks for the thought on it. I see so many good deals 2-4 hours from me. Guess I'll start posting them here if I can't have them one of us may as well.

Seller is a member here, 'see saw 90' or something similar.
The last time I tried to send him a PM, his box was full.

Your just as well off Ted. When you do get a message to him he don't reply or wont answer questions.

I don't think he really wants to sell any.

I wont bother with it any more.

My experience as well, I e-mailed him a couple of times and never got an answer...

what can anyone tell me about this?

16 inch chainsaw

I don't feel it is worth a 90 minute drive alone, but there may be a few others that would be worthy of consideration at the same time. I just know very little about many of these machines - I am learning much about the more common, and current machines from Husqvarna/Jonsered/RedMax/Poulan, Stihl, Dolmar, Echo and what not, but not these older ones. But, at about 60cc, is this a worthy beast?

Thanks!

That is a McCulloch 600 Series saw re-badged and sold at Montgomery Ward stores. Some refer to it as the 'cinder block' saw, as its shape resembles that form. It was also about 2 pounds heavier than comparable 60cc saws produced by Mac's competitors. Heavy and (kinda) ugly, yet torquey and dependable.
