If that's the Wankel that was talked about here in a thread some time ago... IIRC the member talked a guy out of it for $100 knowing it was worth $1000+ and kind of back-doored his buddy. Hasn't sold yet because of this story and is still for sale.

Free Stripper Pole!

Roommate left this out in the elements and it rusted up a bit. So she left it here when she moved out. It is free-standing and can be broken down and even comes with its own storage bags. It needs to be disassembled and cleaned up a bit. I just want it gone.

This one made me laugh out loud. Not only do you get to do free tree work, you are allowed to compensate them for it. It's hilarious

firewood - OAK - standing tree (Middleburg Hts)

100 year old oak tree. Crown has already blown off and been cleaned up. What remains is a straight vertical 40-50 foot log. The base is probably at least 6 feet in diameter and top is 3 feet in diameter.

Wimpy weekend chain-saw warriors cannot tackle this project. You need to be a professional and have professional equipment (including crane, big dump trucks and insurance)

Here are the 2 catches:
#1 job must be complete 48 hours from start time
#2 I want 2 cords of split, seasoned firewood (from this tree or different) delivered and dumped to an address in Strongsville.

I just (for fun) rebuilt 3 Husqvarna 350 chainsaws. They are in as nice shape as possible .... there were multiple original parts saws, as well as many new parts and LOTS of hours of cleaning and ordering etc. New 16" husky bar and Oregon chains... never touched wood! Prefer pickup only, cash only. would almost be silly to ship these. I did this for fun, not for profit. I'm pretty sure I'm at best breaking even on these saws. Here is my CL ad for the saws.

Thanks for looking!IMG_6059.JPG

I mostly lurk here and I'm sure that others will be along who know better than I, but in my neighborhood (western PA) that price wouldn't fly. On Craigslist in my neighborhood, $150 is top dollar for a 350, even reubuilt with a new bar. It shouldn't be so, because they're nice saws, but there's no way you'd get that price on my block. Buyers don't care what you spent on the project; it was up to you to decide whether to forge ahead or not.

Thanks for the headsup. parts saws go for $150 or so on ebay... and new bar and chains are $50 by themselves if you get them REALLY cheap. I see some that are runners in the 175-200 range, but they are usually a mishmash of the wrong parts etc. Heck, if you can find me a 150 rebuilt w/ new B&C tell me and I might buy it myself!

Personally, I think you should stick with "mostly" lurking here. If his price is too high for his area (I don't think he's too far off, for the saws in question) he'll know soon enough by lack of sales.
I see no reason for you to post your opinion on his pricing in the sellers listing.

Price is all subjective. If the buyer thinks it's worth it? Then they will pay whatever it takes.

As for ebay prices? They are generally inflated a little. You lose about 20% after fees and PayPal. So that would amount to about $200 a saw.

I agree with Jon, but as I stated earlier, people will pay whatever it takes for something they want. There tends to be a buyer for everything here.

Good luck, those are clean saws

Edit: I see another Jon posted just before me ;) )

Actually it sold for $200. Shipping costs don't count if the buyer has to come to you. My basic formula for what you can expect to get on Craigslist is 75% of the eBay price (NOT including shipping) for a similar saw. If that saw is similar to yours and went for $200+shipping on eBay, then my guess is you can get 75% of $200, i.e. $150 locally.

I don't pretend to have any authority here and I'm sure it's a little different in different markets, but the local market you can access through Craigslist is much, much smaller than what you can access on eBay. If it weren't so, then eBay would be out of business.

Fair enough. Probably would've been better to share such thoughts privately. Apologies to the OP.

Don't buy any.
