But I doubt Ebay will do any thing!
I found 5 bogus listings, and those were just the saws!
I cut and pasted them into the c-list search, and they come up all in different states!

Look at his completed listings, he has already done some major damage by the looks.

A classic hit and run scam, I feel for the real bidders that will have the hassle of chasing their money down.

so I just spent about half hour on the telly with ebay security.

over and over I tell them that the thousands of dollars just sold in last 2 days were all copied ads.

Scouts 066 brought $600 too.

you can tell the scammer is in another country just by his spelling and sentence structure.

ebay will have to cover all the money paid in already but the biggest problem is
that the people who sent money will have there money tied up for a while.. possibly weeks.

if the scammer has a paypal debit card he can withdraw cash as fast as it
comes in to the account..

he's sitting back in a recliner in nigeria just watching the money roll in..

lets see how long before the rest are pulled now.

this is the biggest I have seen unstopped. I have shut a few down over the years and have known people who have had the ads copied and
listed in another users hacked account like this one.

some accounts are damadged so bad they cant be used again.

lets say for some reason you cannot gain acsess to your account.

maybe you try to get ahold of ebay or maybe you just forget about it for a few days. Once a hackers gets in he just changes the paypal settings and starts listing all the high dollars quick sell items he can.

cant be too carefull these days. open the wrong email with a keystroke catcher and all your accounts are toast.

I sent that guy a message and asked about picking up the saw (told him I lived next town over) and he made many excuses why he couldn't because he was leaving for Fla this morning so asked when he was leaving because I could come when ever because it didn't matter to me and I'd pay cash, his reply was that he would be back in two weeks and could meet me then but I had to pay via paypal when the listing ended.......I would love to see the look on his face when he realizes that his money is on hold until his buyers leave positive feedback......rofl

Do you think there is any money to be made here? i'm thinking of offering 750 or 800, but thats a ton of money to spend on a saw for me. I've heard diff horsepower readings from the 090 also with different cc's, i dont know what this one would be.

the problem with that is ebay will have to refund every dime that was sent via paypal and then withdrawn by the scammer.

who ever has already paid for those items will be waiting some time for an ebay refund just as it takes a long time for ebay to wise up.


every description is different. all item info was pulled from the ads he copied
and then he ads his twist.

this description tells you that you have to wait patently 2 weeks for your saw to ship.

I sent emails back and fourth for almost an hour with Ebay on this!
I gave them Postings, my pics that can be checked by (properties).
I got the same please respond to the email and specify this and that!
I gave up and let you guys know!
Keep in mind I spoke with ebay and was told to fill out a report listing under the Ebay listing violation! What a crook!!!
Absolutely SAD!!

There are some that think that ebay will automatically pay you back when you get scammed...ain't true in many cases. It takes a long time to get your money back which discourages many people from even reporting a low-dollar scam, thinking it's more trouble than it's worth. Ebay gets to keep their fees and the scammer gets to keep his money and (almost) everybody is happy.
As I stated many times, play the ebay game like you'd play the stock market or the casino...don't put any money in it that you can't afford to lose.
