No I offered a 30/6 rifle and some cash. He didn't bite. His ad said he might take guns in on trade. He won; be one that will let it go super cheap. Looks like a nice saw. Just to much money to have another big saw. I was hoping he would take the rifle It has never been shot.

Hey all, just wanted to pass this on to those who may be looking for a breaker and a spinner. I just bought a pair, so will post when they get here with impressions, but as far as I have been able to find out, they are the same as the Oregon branded items, made by the same Italian manufacturer and painted orange. The look, from the photo, identical, and will know for sure in a few days.

If they are indeed the Italian jobs, at $80+/- less than what everyone else is charging for a pair, they are a deal. Shipping's a bit steep, but still saves money, and I've used the HF unit and didn't care for it.

Here is a head scratcher. Guy is auctioning off 5 rolls of Bailey's 30RP ripping chain. I checked the Bailey's site, and they sell that roll for $259.95 (plus shipping of course). So take a look at the auction. Why would I buy from him?

You know this happens all the time in live auctions. Only difference is auctions are anonymous...sometimes. I got my nice 2100 Homelite for $40 and it is obviously worth quite a bit more than that. Does this mean I have a obligation to find the original owner and give him his "cut" if I ever sell it? Was he even the original owner? If not, what about that guy?

Well Chris I do believe he said he got it from a buddy. So i guess it boils down to what feels right. We all have different opinions of buddies. I see it one way and others see it another way. We can always disagree. That is why we live in the greatest country in the world no matter what some say.

I have a saw similar to that...it's a good running little saw but hardly worth the kind of money he wants. I didn't give anywhere near that for mine. I think it would look nicer if they hadn't used those gaudy yellow caps and stuff on it. Black would have been more manly.
