considering the pull handle says "easy to start" or "easy-start" or whatever it is... i'm with you on doubts on that "044". I also would think an 044 would have a decomp knob (maybe not?) and that it wouldn't have the "flippy caps" as some 440's didn't have them. If you could buy it for 50 bucks and NOT have him start it and you got it home and it fired you'd be in the money though.

I have 6 or 8 chainsaws a coupe craftsmans 18inch bars 2 mcCullough 14inch bars I think a old craftsman solid state a poulan 18 a echo with a bow bar and chain all saws are not running some were running but been sitting for a year or so also have 1 handheld blower in same condition will trade for 1 good to new condition saw #### or ########### or whatever open to all trades go cart maybe small 4 wheeler the right person should be able to get most of them running none are locked up.

I also have two older larger saws that could be fixed with little work, probably just a good carb clean. Take away all 4 saws for only $65 The Mac 110’s are perfect for limbing tree branches and the big Pioneer will cut the big stuff. Fix them up and use them or sell them and make some money, I don't have the time.

Almost four hours away from me, that is why I posted the link instead of the saws being in my basement now. I know there are a few AS members around that area, might get lucky on getting someone to ship for you.

the 044 doesn't have a decomp valve,,,and sure the heck doesn't have the flippy caps,,,seems to me its a chinesee knock off with stihl stickers
