Henry Ford apparently did popularize charcoal briquettes < Kingsford (charcoal) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia > and apparently had special BBQ grills made that attached to the rear of some early cars (that did not have trunks). If you had briquettes, you really wouldn't need the chainsaw?

Those saws were sold through Ford tractor, not Ford MV.
Would it not get a little hot under the hood for a saw full of gas? A lot of those camper specials had big blocks.

No they didnt mount them under the hood, they mounted them on the left side on top the hood.
