One mount was for normal use with better balance, the other is for flush cutting. Not to be used at the same time.

I figured it was something simple and I know it has come up before but I had slept since then and I forget where I put this knowledge:msp_scared:

Thanks Scarr

Hmmm ..... another member here says there's no saw shops in Sebastopol ....

I never said there was no saw shops in Sebastopol. Never mentioned Sebastopol and saw shops to you at all. That shop mentioned in the CL ad has been there for a few years. They used to be north of Sebastopol on HWY116 near Graton and Forrestville. Moved to Seb in 2009 or so IIRC. They're mostly a mower and tractor outfit, with some Stihl trimmers, consumer saws, and a few midsize pro models. Bought a gas can and some 5mm plug wire from them...

The mom&pop hardware store in Sebastopol started selling consumer Husqvarna stuff last year. The Forrestville Saw shop is sadly long gone. The old Bills Mowers on HWY12 is long gone too. Hendrix Power Equipment on 12 between Santa Rosa and Sebastopol is the closest real saw shop. That shop has only been open for a few years, but the owner had a shop in the 70's/80's before that. I worked with Dennis at Sears Servive in the 1990's.

Next closest is Gardener's Aid.....currently a lawn/garden and Stihl dealer, but they sold Homelites since the late 1950's. They still have handwritten Homelite tuning specs charts on some of the back walls. That's the only nearby shop left "from the good old days". There USED to be a bunch of great old shops around here.

Auto Electric and Carburetor in Santa Rosa was a longtime Homelite dealer, but they're gone too. Laars Engines in Petaluma has been around for a couple decades, as has Fulweiders in Santa Rosa. I saw a new Mac DE80 and PM4300 at Fulweiders in 1994 or so. Then there's Cloverdale Saw Shop and Jim long Equipment. The filthy Homelite 750 that I cleaned up had a Jim Long sticker under all the dirt, pitch, an dog hair....

This was posted in the antique saw thread last week.
He did come down on the price, but has two bars on one saw now.

Here is how the ad reads......
David Bradley
