Well....

I just bought my SECOND Mcculloch Super Pro 125 this week. This one is a regular 125 not the c model.

Anyhow, I will be sure to update with pics and details when i get it home and running.

MCCULLOCH SUPER PRO 125 CHAINSAW WITH 32" BAR VERY POWERFUL 123 CCS | eBay

Careful - they multiply fast. I went from searching for one to owning 5 plus a kart saw plus a spare 101B engine in no time. I saw that one and thought of you doubting me when I told you to just wait as a $500 or under saw would show up. I'm glad you got it. I took Leeha's approach and let it be. Now if I could just quit buying 82cc MACs. Ron

Are those saws-practically speaking, as day to day (big wood) working saws--that much better than say a 3120 or 880? (having never run any of those, although I have tried an 084) thanks

I don't know as I have never ran either of the saws you mention. Just from reading on AS it seems the 3120 has quite a following. It also seems that there is a lot of negative comments about the 880 being a slow dog in stock form. I dare say that all three are too big/heavy for daily work. From what I gather from the Stihl crowd a 660 is as big as you need. I haven't run one of those either but I have watched a modified one run in a 4' oak and I would tend to agree. An 82cc MAC is as big as I need, but the 125s are fun and garner a lot of attention. They are also easy to work on. Ron
