Nothing. Another day pretty much gone. No saws in sight.

Starting to feel like I'm looking for a big white whale. Probably some 12 yr old yankin our chains.

Probably a dumb question, but if you got the 50 saw poster to answer your calls before, why can't you call them back and ask for an address, then drive on out and see what's up? Are you just waiting for them to call back? It sounded like that is what the Op was doing.

I've followed up three times with him so far. You can only "hold their hand". He was supposed to call me to tonight. I'll touch base again tomorrow.

Do a reverse lookup on the phone number and drop by in the morning. If you don't think outside the box you will never put a chainsaw in it. (Sounds like sig material there).

Have you actually asked for an address?

I'll second this if the direct question doesn't get an answer:
"Do a reverse lookup on the phone number and drop by in the morning. If you don't think outside the box you will never put a chainsaw in it."

Did you guys read the posts? The info is all there. The short version:

1) the CL poster doesn't have possession of them yet.

2) CL Poster lives 45 miles from me.

3) saws are 20 miles or less from me.

As the saws are not at the home the number belongs to, I'm opting to refrain from stalking the CL poster. There may be more like hundreds, but he's trying to flip 50 or so quick.

4) although my slow season, I still have honest paying work to pursue.

5) there's still an outside chance one of you guys is chuckling having a little fun.

I'm following through, if the mother load breaks free, I'm trying to be ready.

It has some kind of chainsaw bar on the front of it. I think its for sharpening bars or something.

For grinding and re-grooving bars. Saw a different version at Treemonkey's folks' shop.

A while back, it appears that folks were more concerned with the costs of additional motors and space, so we saw a lot of multi-function machines. Reminds me of the Shop Smith woodworking machines; the Foley Belsaw machines that sharpened saws, chains, scissors; etc. Now we seem to see more dedicated function machines. Not many people re-grooving bars either!

But if you do a lot of it, and have the space . . .
