let hoister explain that one out fully but it gives your lift power a little kick in the seat i think. we were pick'm some weight cause we were parked right underneath them. 2 pick'n 120 ft pines.....lol.

So what is it? Looks like a 2 pronged brace you put under the lifting mechanism so you can pick more? Remember I'm new to this crane ####, OD... As far as 2 pick'n 120 footers, did you see my pic on Dave's thread? I hate you. lol.

ok.

you take the regular ball off. run the line through that big ass block that has a pulley in it and and then pin the becket back to the boom tip.

forget the technical name but think 2 pulleys for double power i think.

nailzy! what up bud? how you been and all that stuff? all well?

nope, havent been dipping any sawchips. lol, the copenhagen been doing its thing.

All is well, thanks for asking. Setting up to do some logging here right quick. Maybe a helmet cam felling video will be in order. You must be getting a cam soon huh?....or is the boss buckin ya.

Ok. I get the 2 to 1 pulling power you get from the block ( I've seen cranes with that set up before ) I was wondering more about the telephone poles strapped to it? I gotta run to a poker game, can't wait to see what you and hoister sort out. Well done, and nice pics, chief.

Two parting the line!

with the other block it double's the lift capacity of the crane. there are even 3 part and 4 part blocks if the application line is capable

Its called "2 part line"..and 3-part for 3 and so on ..The technical term is , dependong where your at, "reeving or laceing"

Yes it does double the pull ..then triple for three and so on ..

And by the way this is a big hook block ..

The block weighs over 100,000lbs, it'll take 44 parts from 2inch thick wirerope. Capacity is around 2,500tons

Now we're Hoist'n !!

YA BABY !!!!

Ah ..not entirely right there ..It Increase's the available line capacity from the winch ..the crane capacity will stay the same ..

yeah no laying them doggies over. this is actually our 3rd day at this place in the last 2 weeks. we had a ply wood party the other day going across a fairway to get after a couple willows.

try the Hoffman's Duralines at Bailey's

oh yah dude. look close to that butt cut pic. got 3 day old american made chippewa's on and not the chinese made chippewong's. quality my friend not crap gook made ***. i made the mistake last time i bought red wang's and not the american made red wings. the whole entire inside of the boot came out when i tried to take my boots off after work. this is the 4th pair of boots ive gotten since that incident though. the last 3 pair have been the la sportiva's twice and a pair of sweet lowa's. nothing stands up to what we do. its sucks to have to shell out boot money every 9 months or so.

best boots i ever bought.the dual steel shanks are no joke.i'll never buy anything else.

they have the Dri Lines for winter work.

pecking order for the grapple control for sure. time in the company gives you some pull so to speak. lol. first hour on the thing is a nightmare till you get a hang of it. dude who runs it now is slick with it.

ya though. i put myself in a very good position here. all i gotta do is my thing and everyone is happy. life is aight man. thanks.

Pecking order, I like that. good way to put it. I suppose its always been that way. I forget...Its been so long.

I'm a little jealous buddy, thats gotta be a fun gig there.

So whats up with the wood chips?? a little more angle than the witness marks?

I am looking forward to seeing something real big pulled apart with that 38 tonner sometime. How much stick does it have again?
