Nice Dean........it worked fine the way it was.......but the closer to perfect you can get the better.......

Thanks Robin, the saw you worked on is being fitted with all NOS parts or as close as possible.
In other words . . . . . I'm building a "woodshed queen".

The other 90 I'm building will be a work saw.

FYI-Theres's a NOS 111 oiler on ebay for $45 if you're interested.

Naw you go for it Kev.......like I said...I'm always shuling around for parts.....and nothing I need right now. I know your working on your 910 project.......I got one real nice runner and 3-4 to build...in no rush...go for it. and good luck!!!
We've had a hard day here.....snowing since daylight......14" of wet heavy snow now....NOAA says at least 2" more coming tonight.....wind gusts to 60 knts (like 75 mph) .....38,840 meters without power.......I'm up on generator power......have been for 2-3 hrs.......LOL!!!
I heard Maine was getting hit pretty hard with this storm, sounds like they weren't kidding.

Can't completely trust the forecasters - in north/central we got some snow and a bunch of wind, but hardly the 7" - 12" they said we'd get.

Yeah this was a costal event....coming in off the ocean..........greater Penobscot Bay area and further downeast getting hit the hardest......wet heavy snow...hard to move and packs instantly...had 15" when I shut the generator down around 9 last night......not going out until daylight...many trees bent and broken from the weight of wet snow and 50 mph winds......true "Downeaster" for us along the water........winding down now....wind dropped off but still snowing some.

Sounds like CAD has got to you LOL!!
I actually picked up a pile of NOS Jonsereds oil pumps a while back...I think three of them were 111S pumps...so I guess I'm all set...LOL!!

Thanks Robin. Wow..you guys really got hit hard...nothing worse than deep wet stuff and the damage it does...other than a good ice storm!

That's all I've ever seen on ebay for the 111S;oilers and starter assemblies. Wonder why all the extra oilers...if they were parted out from saws, why don't I see other parts as well??

The bunch I got were all NOS with the O-rings. But to answer your question.....I don't know.....I don't think they were especially problematic.....the 111S has a manual pump as well as the auto pump......I have never seen the manual pumps for sale at all..........

Good morning folks, I traded for a clean 67o super at Hedgerow's GTG, needs a choke lever and all the chain brake parts. Sorry no pics, old computer and slow dialup.
Awol had a tweaked 80 there that would put a smile on your face, it put a major whupping on the Stihls and Huskys in that class. After the races he used it to block up some saw logsfor the splitters.

Was that the big lot of oilers that went through ebay this yr in one auction? I saw that and thought about bidding, because it was priced right for what it was. But then it was like, what the hell am I gonna do with all these oilers? You're right, I've never seen a manual 111S oiler for sale...just the pumps. Is it a plunger affair like the Husky 2100's?

Tell me about the 80...90 top end and tweaked how, ported and what not?

The first 80 I bought had just been gone through by a saw shop in Montrose, CO and it screamed. To this day even though it only has a 28" bar, it can run alongside my 90 for the most part.

Not hijacking this thread at all...we talk about anything J'red and certainly selling saws and getting parts as well! That looks like a very pristine example-truly NOS?? It's worth whatever you can get for it, basically. There's ebay and then there's the real world. These days I only buy saws on ebay if they are dirty/non-running and/or for parts. It's harder and harder to find a 'sleeper' on ebay and after all these yrs, the saws are mauled by bad owners or missing expensive parts. Buying through a forum like this is another option...probably won't get ebay prices, but will get a decent, fair amount. Robin can tell you more about that particular saw than I can. Bear in mind, most of us are looking for 'deals', but a truly NOS saw is worth some consideration if someone really wants that model and has the coin.

Just depends if you're seeking maximum dollars or tying to place a saw in a good home and bring a smile to someone's face.

Looks like I won everything I bid on for the 910 at very respectable prices for the most part...$9.99 on that muffler, crazy! Anyway, many thanks to all who may have backed off to let me win these! Also did a Buy It Now for the clutch drum, bearing and shoes. Not a great price there, but a real necessity set of wear parts.

It's a ported 80, his neighbor, a retired logger brought it to him and asked if he could make it beat a 660 stihl. His son had bought 660 and he was tired listening to him bragging how fast it was. Awol brought it to the GTG to fine tune it and run some more fuel through it. I think the ole man will be happy with it.

Great story...I'm sure he'll be very happy with it.

After 30+ yrs of using the 80, it's got my vote as one of the best all-around 80cc saws ever! It was also my first J'red...recommended to me from a saw shop as a good back-up saw to my Husky 2100. Sometimes on Forest Service sales, that's all I would use in a day, given that the timber was smaller. Never had any trouble with it other than leaving it in the sun and vapor lock. Park it in the shade and it was always a one pull saw in warm weather...two pulls in cold. Gotta be quick with the choke though...lol.

A NEVER started 621 from 1981!!!!!! WOW . . . freaking WOW!!!

Yeah, how 'bout that!! Gorgeous....makes you wonder what's really out there still...o_O

The Husky 2101 that was NOS on ebay awhile back, went for over $2,000. But that saw's following is legend now.

You know I've never been a huge fan of J'reds choice of color schemes;the silver & red. I like the red lots, but not the silver. But then again, it's pretty striking when you see it NOS. I've always seen them already faded or reproduced silver.

Like the 2101 the 621 is truly legendary. The very first "modern" saw on the market....when it first came out it was called the 62.....and was developed from the old 601.......at the time no one else had figured out AV or the whole piston ported thing.......most all saws were still reed valve motors......a Cadillac of saws. These are not a large displacement saw motor at 56cc or wicked fast but are very strong and will pull a 20" bar with full chisel all day long in hardwood and not break a sweat. They last forever.....they were spendy compared to US saws.....if I remember right around $350.00-$400.00 in the early/mid 70's. I could go on and on......I have 3...all very good running used examples.....and nearly enough NOS parts to build another one.....still missing a few bits.

To the poster of this fine unit......That one sure is nice...if you still have the box DO NOT destroy it.....and don't start it either....to the right collector, with deep pockets...having the original box will nearly double it's worth. As to what it's worth???? I would have no idea but $5-$600.00 wouldn't surprise me. Done right it can be a sellers market. There was a beautiful one on ebay a few yrs back....the guy built it from all NOS parts......did a great job and a super presentation...very nice photography....class act right down the line.....damn thing only brought $250.00 at auction .........I felt bad for the guy......thought it worth much more.....
