The Husky 362 seems to have been discontinued, however, I have a chance to buy 4 (four) new ones. Should I buy them all @ 450 U.S. each?
Why didnt Husky build a 366, as a follow up to the legendary 266?

The disadvantage I had in selling 362s were that they were an the same chassis as the 365 and the 372, the 262 and 372s being the closed loop tansfers. So everyone wanted the 72cc on that package; it was only $50 dollars more than the 362. That left the 362 an orphin, and the 365 the model for those that were either price sensitive or insisted on lugging down their saws (In other words they needed the wider power band) The 372s are the starting point of a harwood 24 " log capable saw around here in Illinois.

I have translated Jonsedered to Husky models, but its the same explanation.

$450 each with no shipping is about U.S. dealer cost. The 362 makes a very good 20 inch bar saw; a 24" bar on a 362 might satisfy a firewood cutter but probably not a pro doing felling.

How about it Dennis?

Did the 362 have the quad ports? I am currently hopping up a 372 and I really like the response I'm getting from it. It would be well worth hopping up a 362 due to the smaller top end on the same chassis as a 372, making it a fast but long lasting saw. A 24" bar with standard .050" gauge square filed chain would be a firewood cutting nightmare.
