The latest update.. Got the other cylinder from JJ, Thanks Buddy! Had to do some minor grinding and then I reassembled with Threebond. Compression feels obnoxious.. Vac tested and it's rock solid, no leaks. I can't pull the rope until I get the wrap handlebar from MacLaren! Once that arrives, I will be able to fire it up and get some test cuts with it. I will try to get video. If all is good, I will degree the engine and pull it back apart for some more grinding!

Still on the prowl for the HD top..

Well, last week I couldn't wait any longer and had to fiddle with it. I slapped an old bar on it and put in the vice to do some yankin'..:hmm3grin2orange: Compression pulled about 167-168.. not bad. And THEN.. IT CAME ALIIIIVE !!!

I need to find me some fat wood to cut some cookies and then the fun begins !

I went to run it today for the 1st time and the saw decided today wasn't the day! It wouldn't start, finally got it started but didn't run right and stalled and then the icing on the cake.. the new starter pulley broke. The whole center cracked. :bang:

I think its possessed ...

Is the starter pulley a common issue on these. Looks like I will have to keep like 3 in stock at all times...:bang::bang::bang:

Put the decompression valve back in, it will save some wear and tear on the pulley and the puller!

Yea, I just might have to do that. And it looks like I need a whole cover.. the small plastic tit that catches the spring is trashed also. :bang::bang: And my cash flow is tapped so this is done till after the holidays ...

Sounds like your luck is like mine.

:frown: Yea, I have some decent wood to cut this week so I was extra excited on running this baby.. Now I got to use the chincy 361..lol

I posted in the swap meet to see if I can get an OEM cover on the cheap.. I don't know how much a new OEM is but im sure its not cheap..

Alright, I finally got this puppy sorted out.. Found another starter cover and then could not get it to run right. Friday, I went through everything and still no go. I was stumped. Today, I took apart the carb, cleaned it, cut off some excess fuel line and put on a new fuel filter, set the screws and Bam.. Sounded pretty good ! Not really sure what was going on before, lol. Did some test cuts in some wood I had laying around the shop and tuned it.. She started to ask for some fatter wood so I had to go find something decent to cut.. Found something 16" ish, not sure of the type and started to dig in..
