I think you would find it O.K. with an 8 tooth sprocket and 3/8 chain but keep in mind the 440 is still only an 87 cc vintage saw and no 250 Super.

I know what you are saying about the tank gaskets. I now use square O rings and have had good success. I also use Red Kote and line the tank if I have one that weeps. I am ding a 125 engine right now and what I took off the reed box is the same thickness as the material I got at the parts house.
... I have a few but I am starting to become a hoarder...

You should see it in person, its very impressive and amazingly clean too!That red/orange saw is sure out of place in that sea of yellow. You have a very nice shop. Wished mine was that clean, and stocked that well with yellow.
