I'm afraid that one looks like it's going in the road, Jethro..., right after it smashes the fence. LOL

You could obviously limb it to get rid of the weight on that side and probably drop it along the fence if you can get a rope high enough for the leverage. Need to get your phone cam goin' for all that!

Yea I think you're right there it's just to much lean. It's dead too so not sure how well a hinge would work it may just let go off the stump and then the top fall over and bust up the fence.

Its council property too so dont really want to nail there fence. They turn a blind eye at me cleaning up there dead and fallen trees around the place so mite not be too blind after that haha

Haha dueling I like that. Have you got your parts Ed? Cant help you with the tank question but if there from the same shape then they should fit Mark will know for sure. The caps will I'm pretty sure. I like those older caps with the mac emblem on. It seems as time went on they dropped those little details here n there not sure why as they already had those molds

I've got two sets of parts coming - one set of AF cover & filter that I bought from Mark for the 10-10,then I ordered another set of parts - a handle assembly w/tank,AF cover & filter from Feebay for the 2-10 conversion.I ordered the 2nd set last night & I won't get the parts till early next week.A lot of work to do the conversion.I've got the 2-10's all tore down right now just waiting on the parts.

Is this to get rid of the bullfrog? Your going to have some nice old saws when your all done. The 10-10 saws are easy for parts sooo many years of bits that fit but these older 10 series saws of yours seem alot harder

I've decided to keep the bullfrog on one of the 2-10's,the other two are being converted with 10-10 parts.I picked up a bunch of Macs a few months ago for $20 each.I ended up with a good 10-10,two good 2-10's,& possibly a good third 2-10 if I can get a rebuild kit for a bullfrog carb.I also got a seized D36,a 1-50,& a 1-75.Oh yeah,I almost forgot the three 610's & the 650.I've got enough project saws to last me the rest of my life.Lol I also had a Timberbear that I bought new in 1995 & the baby Mac - Eager Beaver 2.1

Fuel caps on the 10 Series are all interchangeable.

The tank tops are also interchangeable, but you have to pay attention to the shape of the tank top and how it matches with the air filter and the air filter cover. In fact, you can change the later PM style tank top and AF cover on one of the older saws to get rid of the domed air filter and replace it with the PM style.

Found my SP81 sticker. Forgot he sent me the goose window sticker, too. You can easily see what I meant about the fuel cap hole. He had some sort of issue with his circle cutter and did it by hand. Asked if it was ok first and I said sure since the cap will hide the irregularities anyway. The pic angle creates a slight skew in the details that isn't really there, also. All in all he did a nice job with a layered approach and final clear layer for added protection. Should hold up well once applied..., provided I follow the directions correctly and don't screw it up.

Having trouble trying to I.D. this one via Acre's site. The yellow rear and black front top is throwing me as is the muffler. Just not finding any pics with that scheme and top cover style anywhere. Hope to look at it in person this afternoon and see what's stamped on the bottom. Supposedly turns over and is obviously complete and in decent shape. Anyone care to take a guess at this one?

I would hang my butt as well and say it's an 840. Looks like it's missing the muffler cover and no auto oiler.

It has the auto oiler so that narrows it a bit to 640, 840, 890? No DSP lever so its not an 895. The plate over the stuffer is solid so I'd guess maybe 890, but measure the bore to confirm. My 640's did not have a solid cover in this location.
