Hi Calvin,

Do you have the ignition module for a 2.0 eager beaver? I don't know and can't find an IPL anywhere for a solid state 2.0 eager beaver...

Brian

The Devil Beaver still causing grief is it? I'll go through my pile-o-beavers tomorrow and see if I have one like yours... I'll PM you and let you know.

Chris, clean the immediate area directly above the fuel tank opening and below the points cover. The model and serial numbers will be there.

BTW,I sure make no claim to being a "Mac Guru". ;)

Vince

I finally got around to cleaning up a couple of the old Macs (the unknown and the Le Sabre).

The unknown has these numbers above the fuel tank (exactly where you said they'd be): 42037 B

I checked the acres site and did not find this number anywhere.

Could it be that this is the serial number? If so, where would the model number be?

Someone posted up another possibility (or maybe a positive ID). I will go and use their model number at the acres site and double-check now that the saw is cleaned up a bit.

Thanks

Just finished checking the acres site.

Unless someone can tell me different, it is the 33B. 54cc's of grunt. :D

I am going to fix that rewind, give it a bit of a check over, and then see if it will fire up.

Pro Mac 650

Here is my latest addition, I need to find a rewind assembly to even begin fixing. My dad used to use it and really liked it before the rewind broke. It's been sitting on a bench doing nothing for years. Any ideas on where to find the rewind assembly?

Dual spikes on a PM 650 - what a beast.

I have a PM610 that cost $0, loud, heavy, slow, but lots of grunt and kind of fun to use.

Parts should be readily available on e-Bay, Calvin (lawnmowertech) might have a new starter or pieces, or Biker Dude may have one as he has a few PM 600 Series saws.

McCulloch 7-10

I have posted regarding this saw in a couple of other threads but thought this deserved to be here as well.

Thanks to a lead from Plant Biologist I was able to pick up a nice used 7-10 from out in Maine. Got it cleaned up and with a carburetor kit running pretty nicely. This is a 70 cc version of the 10 Series saws, so imagine a 10-10 with 40% more go. I currently have a 16" bar on it and it does cut wood. Like a lot of the old McCullochs, this one has quite a bark, but it's got a lot of bite to go with it.

This is quickly becoming one of my favorite saws.

Mark

Wow! That is a nice pile o' saws you have there. Let me know if you have a good P&C and/or chain cover/ brake for a pro mac 850 you would part with!

I have a complete 850... I haven't gotten to it to check it out yet... As I have a Pile-O-Saws to go through.

Pm 650

Is a used air filter cover and 2 new air filters worth $30? There are 3 sets on ebay and I need one but I'm not in a hurry...

With the used recoil my PM 650 started right up now I just need new air filter and a cover.

Well I would certainly be interested in it if it has a good piston & cylinder. I have been sitting on my PM 850 in a box for almost a year now and it would be nice to finally do something with it.

That sounds about right to me. I think I paid $12.00 for my last air filter cover and $8.99 for a new filter. I may be wrong but I think you need the yellow air filter cover for your 650. I seem to remember seeing an old ad for one and the cover was yellow, not black like the 610s had. I'm glad to hear you got it going though, good job!

That 7-10's a beauty, Mark! Keep us informed on what bar you end up with on it. I bet the 16" is a blast!!

Wow, it's like "Where's Waldo" in that pile of Mac's. At first, I was thinking it was a lot of Mini Mac's and Power Mac's, but I spotted a newer Titan in there, and some bigger ones. My gosh, keep 'em dry!

Nice to hear all the new McCulloch news happening, and good to hear there's a few of us out there that enjoy them.
