Just finished making up some new McCulloch Gaskets for 795, 797, and 895 Chainsaws. The insulator (Fold-over) gasket has been improved for better fit with scored bends so the gasket fits snugly against the insulator during installation.

67477 Fuel Tank & Insulator Gasket for 797, Super 797, 895, & 895C (Fold-over). https://www.oldsawshop.com/Fuel-Tank-&-Gasket-Insulator-67477-p690408096

3516 went back to the wood pile today. It's back to being steady and dependable for the most part. Occasionally wants to die if idled too long so maybe a touch more fine tuning. Closing the bar rails with the vise seems to have been a decent redneck fix. No more boat wood! I do plan on purchasing a pinch roller eventually. Still considering removing a muffler baffle as it just feels kinda wimpy. Great for smaller stuff tho.

If it has been setting empty for a while, leave it sitting with fuel for a few days, sometime the cork gaskets will dry out while empty and swell up again once you add fuel.

Not a guarantee...

Mark
I'd estimate this saw has been sitting empty for about 30 years haha. Thanks for the tip, I'll watch and see if it seals up.

Here is a build I'm working on currently. McCulloch Mc-92 with some parts from a vintage built saw I acquired 3-4 years ago. Waiting on the GEM box muffler to get here but I couldn't wait to run it. Here I am testing it in wood for the first time learning the bdc carburetor. Found a chain adjuster from a mac15 and modified it to work. Also pictured is the old chain guard that was originally on the saw years ago, i found a new reproduction guard for a briggs flathead since that's what the old one was and modified it to fit. I couldn't forget the "lucky" sticker the original one had also.
Hope yall enjoy

It certainly looks good, chain appears to have had some work done on it as well. Bring it along when you come and we'll run it side by side with my MAC40 and 101
Id love to Mark. The saw originally looked like this year's ago. The chain was original to the build and i have since only touched the cutters up. The rakers are only .070-.080 below the tooth 3/8 chain
