So, "it's on" with the 82cc.

I talked to the Bro yesterday, twice, in person. Mostly what I got was his recent Bigfoot hunting stories and stories of hippie harassments. I swear, he takes a special trip to Arcata, just to bother hippies on the plaza.
We did talk about the 10-10s during a rare lucid moment. The station got 8 new 10-10s, my Bro and the equipment foreman named Les, took half of them to "tune up". I didn't know that Les was a Kart guy, we didn't get along, he had to deal with my breaking of his vehicles. Eh, which I heard about from the Station Captain, who loved the sound of his own voice.
Back to the 10-10s, 4.5 degrees advanced timing, carbs rejetted, mufflers rebaffled and some port work. The result was a saw that came close to the ragged edge, in my book, perfect.

That's great! You got him to remember. Now if we could just nail down what the 'port work' was............then we'll be cookin'!:msp_thumbsup:

Thanks for the info. I have a good 10-10S engine waiting for that recipe in the garage right now.

Unfortunately, I will not be putting the bar and chain on the 850 tonight... I would get pelted by 1/2" hail on the way to the barn!!! :(

Anyways... what do you guys think? :blob2::blob2:

I think it rocks!!!! :rock::rock:

I'm not asleep, nor am I an old man. That's a nice bar. It's just like the one I have on my SP81. I think that I put the most post on the McCulloch forum today. Probably will have quite a few more tomorrow as well. I might start porting my 10-10S tomorrow.

Also, I got my 10-10 A stripped down to the block tonite. I took measurements on the flywheel to see where the timing is at stock setting. work dictates my day, but tomarrow evening will be SHOP TIME!

cant tell you his name but will tell he has over 100 posts in this
thread and probaly has close to 100 macs and now a super 797. :D

That same guy works on a lot of Bolens stuff too.

I'll bet you didn't know this, but that guy was the inspiration for the Sasquatch character in the Jack Links' series of "Messin With Sasquatch" commercials.

I will mount her up today, after I get back from my welding class. I really don't have anything to cut around here. :( I will take a look at this huge stump that is down by the pond... one of my neighbors dragged that stump down there about 2-3 years ago. It muct be pretty clean by now from all of the rain and snow over that time. Since I have some reach with this bar, I may be able to cut roots off of it and then make some test cuts on the remaining piece. I really need to get a hold of some big 30" or so rounds. :) I'm really scrounging around for stuff for the little (20") and big (28") bars to bury them in. :)

Thanks for the bar and chain Ron!!! You rock! :yourock:

Yep, I was out by 9 last night. Been burning the candle at both ends and it's over, I'm crashed.

Looks nice, weather is crap. Hope to see it run soon.

Man you guys are on the forum early. I'm about to go adjust the valves on my weedeater and change the oil in it. That sounds funny doesn't it?

Yes it does! My "new" weed eater came home with me from Hawaii for free (well $30 to ship). Husqvarna 225LD with a hedge attachment which looks wicked and very well built and a sidewalk edger attachment. But its two stroke :D

Well, I put some gas in the 440 this morning and primed it, and she fired, but cut off. Primed it again and the same thing. Primed it one more time and she took to running. It idles like a brand new saw, and sounds amazing. I let it idle for a few minutes and made a few minor adjustments. Then I tried to give it some trottle and it tried to die out. So I thought that it needed a little more on the low side, but that didn't help. So I tried to give it some more on the high side, but the same thing. I wondering if there is something going on with the new high speed check valve assembley I installed. I used grease to hold the check ball in place. Maybe that has the high speed circuit stopped up. Anyway, here is a short video.
