Add up the displacement. I bet you win there.

What is a D45? Don't recognize that one. Didn't even try Acres as it has been down

Thank You Caporal30

Now I definitely know I am trying to put my PM 650 brake back together properly. The pivot is different but the spring/catch system is identical. For some stupid reason the hooked end of the spring just jumps out of that latch every time. Thanks for the pictorial confirmation of sanity...

Sorry, but I am not a guru. Maybe one day perhaps....... It is a neat-looking saw. Being a gear drive will shorten the list considerably (and make it even much more desirable). Are there any numbers on the underside of the saw? You might have to clean off some oil & sawdust off to find any. I'm sure that a couple of the guys here can tell you with just a glance. :chainsaw:

You got a 1- series saw that is direct drive from the looks of it. Okay saw, but does not have an auto oilier.

turn it over.stamped on the crankcase bottom are two numbers.the left one is the model no. the one on the right is the serial no.whatcha got ?

It sure enough is a direct drive. I glanced at the right hand starter and just assumed the extra bulge on the side was part of a gear reduction system. Don't I feel silly.:biggrinbounce2: Lawerence, have you unearthed any numbers yet?

My Mac

Urbicide I have not looked yet,but wiil tery and squeeze it in this morning and let you know.

Mark are you saying that the saw is a mix of parts?
Thanks
Lawrence
