I'll sponser the 10 buck Grand Prize at the GTG. Maybe more depending on the job situation. Are you in now?

I see something that might be, But i'm
still very suspicious, That top tank is not
correct and no DSP decal either.
Better pic's would help.

I remember you saying that all the 797's you have seen, the
front handle bracket bolts right to the tank without the rubber
mounts. This saw has the rubber mounts. My 797 does not have
the rubber mounts.

The Michigan buyer was me. I talked to him this morning and emailed him last night. I just got off the phone with him and he said a local buyer was interested, but if that fell through he'd call me since I was the first one to get to him. So, looks like I'm getting aced out...

Well.........Lets take a look

1. You are saying is that you talked to the seller. He said a local buyer was interested.

2. He said if the local buyer fell through he would call you since you were the FIRST to call him.

3. Then
I contacted the seller on the S797, now I need to find someone in the area willing to pick it up for me...

Anyone out there near Springfield, OR?
Mark .I am not sure what went on but is sure seems to smell:msp_sad: on a few directions. I cannot tolerate backdoor BS

When I spoke to him yesterday morning, he indicated that he ahd been burned before shipping a saw to Ohio. I understood and offered to have him sit on the saw until he cashed my money order or paypal, whatever would make him the most comfortable.

Ultimately, he's the seller and he has the right to accept the deal that is best for him. I'm not implicating anyone in an end-run. If I can't get it, I hope one of you all does, you'll make just as good a home for it as I would.

BTW, Lee's right, that tank isn't correct, but for $100, I'm willing to gamble.

The IPL"s show no rubber mounts.
I have 797's both ways with and without
the rubber mounts. The IPL's i have show
no rubber mounts.

I also spoke with him yesterday morning, he said that the first caller to inquire was from Michigan and asked about shipping. He asked if I was local and that I was #2 to inquire about the saw, and that if the deal with #1 did not work out he would call me and was willing to ship. He never mentioned a local buyer. He also asked how to ship a saw and if I did shipping very often.

Well guys, I had a brilliant way to fix the fuel line on the 850. What I did was take a piece of 1/4" fuel line that I had laying around, put it on the filter, and tucked the cracked end in until the crack was no longer visible. The filter and line are well attached to the piece of hose that I used.

Filled her up, started, retuned, made some cuts and best of all, it worked!!

She runs good, just like she was meant to. :) I made some noodles, anyone want any? They're a healthy source of carbs... :D

Sorry, can't get a pic, cause my brother has the camera. :(

I know what it's like to make a deal with someone and lose out to someone else who makes a better offer. Currently waiting with little hope to hear back from a guy initially accepted my offer and now will not answer the phone or respond to emails. Bah!

That right there is BS, weak people can never do the right thing!

Soon I will be replacing all of my 10 series saw fuel lines with standard size fuel line by means of a grommet or something. Buying McCulloch lines is a joke at 10 bucks a piece.

This is what I'm gonna do when this line fails or on any one that needs a new line. I'm gonna get a brass bulkhead fitting, and put that in the hole in the 'firewall' and run a line to from the filter to the fitting and the fitting to the carb. It'd work a lot better. I'm glad I don't need to worry about troubling the seller for this. It probably didn't help that the barb on the creamsickle filter was three times the size of the hole in the fuel line. I'm sure the seller would send me a new one, but I am too impatient for that right now. :D

I'll make some cheapo china wrench bend the way I need it to be so I can tighten the fitting from inside the tank without pulling the halves apart. :)

Well Crap! Hope you/we don't get shafted on that one. The ad's still up....

Yeah? Try the same experience after the guy already cashed your money...

It was the seller's option to take the best deal, I guess. Disappointed, but whatever.
