McCulloch sent Reps with prototypes to Humboldt area. It was moderately hush-hush, word got around pretty fast though.
There was talk about 123cc geardrives, 140cc+ directs, never met any man that ran one. I did see a fairly new unlabled geardrive said to be 123cc, couldn't tell from the outside.

Did they ever make a 1-86HD? That would be a nice saw.

Lee, you should make a 797GHD. :msp_biggrin:

Or a 101BGHD

Working on 2 geardrives at the moment,
But unfortunately not the 3.6-1 ratio.
Both will be the 2-1 ratio.
One of my 797G's has the 3-1 and it pulls
really nice with 1/2 inch chain.

Pulled the flywheel off the 125 tonight and now I need a new crank. You can see that it shattered right around the key. Didn't really plan on tearing it down to parade rest but...I'll start looking for seals as long as I'm there. It blew 145lbs on the tester, I plan to just put a crank in her and put it back together with new seals.

Any ideas or comments...maybe a place for seals?

you mean the bearing seals? your local Bearings & Drives, Applied or the like should be able to help. So far, all of the bearings I have pulled have legible markings. The bearing plus the removed seal should be enough. I would take the saw and shaft with me as a backup plan, though.

I would do bearings, seals and rings while you have it
that far appart. Seals can be found from anyone selling
nos mac parts. bearing from a bearing supplier. Rings can
be found as well.

I have a set of rings already and a contact for the bearings, just need the seals, but if the bearing guy can help I'll try him and then a NOS mac supplier if that doesn't work.

Thanks Lee

Anyone know where I could find a carb kit and fuel lines for my Mac Super 44? Carb is Tillotson HL19C.

Carb kit is Tillotson RK-88HL available everywhere. Get fuel line from local OPE place. I've used both tygon and urethane. Don't use vinyl if you're using E10 pump gas.
