I know you're tough. I've seen the video of you and a long bar S***L cutting a bundle. Ron

I have a set of rings already and a contact for the bearings, just need the seals, but if the bearing guy can help I'll try him and then a NOS mac supplier if that doesn't work.

Thanks Lee

I like SKF. Timken is good too. Once you get a seal part # (if you so desire) you can find the product.

Thats a great and crazy video... one heck of a bar on that thing.

what was the actual length on that bar the mac had on in the picture?

that thing was crazy long, ive never even seen a two man in person that long.

Pulled the flywheel off the 125 tonight and now I need a new crank. You can see that it shattered right around the key. Didn't really plan on tearing it down to parade rest but...I'll start looking for seals as long as I'm there. It blew 145lbs on the tester, I plan to just put a crank in her and put it back together with new seals.

Any ideas or comments...maybe a place for seals?

That sucks about the crank. :( If you have too much trouble finding a crank for a decent amount of money, try a local machinist... he or she could lay welds on the crank and then machine the taper and keyway back in... it may be cheaper and possibly a better solution compared to another crank. I've heard of that done on cranks for a small block v8 all the way down to a crank for a lawn mower. It works, why else would they do it?

Just my two cents thrown into the mess of yellow paint chips... :)

Ain't this the Mac thread? You know, supposed to be talking about big yellow saws, not pies and raisins... :msp_confused:

I like big yellow saws...

We all started there....

They both died in an unfortunate accident with a 317 and its 48" mower deck...:msp_sad:

Dammit Shop Monkey, that's unacceptable. Now gimme one of them cigars, empty the ash trays, and go pick up a new broom and snow shovel (shop dustpan) at Home Depot. You've got sweeping to do. Do a good job and I may let you clean some air filters...

If I had a dollar for every 30 gallon garbage can full of shop sweepings I swept, canned, and hauled to the dumpster, I could affort to buy more than a few of today's ebay 797's.

Same deal for all the mower deck cleanings, mower oil changes, lunch runs, parts runs, gas runs, waste oil runs, dead battery dropoff runs, and equipment delivery/pick up runs that I did...

I didn't say I didn't have replacements ready for hire...

here's your cigar...

In all seriousness, I am mowing the lawn, got most of it done, in for lunch right now. Then back out there to mow the rest of the lawn outside the fence, and then push mow the lawn inside the fence. I may end up trimming along the fence too, I put new plastic blades on the trimmer this morning...

Right now I'm a little confused... am I simply being yanked around with a chain for fun, or are ya'll beating me into shape?

Perhaps grasshopper, other knowledge awaits you.

It is best when served hot.

Best served hot... oh crap... sounds like revenge... :D

Got the lawn done... man I'm whupped. Outside, inside, trimmed along fence line and most of everywhere else that needed it... took a shower, so I don't feel all slimy from that sweat... :givebeer:

Ah, yellow vs. green vs. red vs. creamsickle vs. orange vs. blue... who wins? Why, yellow, of course... Chuck Norris optional...

Oh, I almost forgot... here's your cigar...
