Impressive stuff Randymac,

I'm enjoying my good running 850Super, have cut up to 30"ish pine with it.Nothing like yours...It's got a 24" bar on it at the moment, most likely will stay with that length for a while.Bars and chain are expensive over here, shipping makes bargin(relative to here)ebay B/C combos expensive..
There is some downed Pine at the BIL's up to about 60" left for me to cut..
Do find the SP60 fun to noodle up the rings, also running a 24"(off my PM700,till i replace the fuel line)i think it does need a carb kit to make it run a bit cleaner.

I missed the last 250Super went for NZ$120 US$100,didn't know at the time they were 87cc grunters..don't plan on missing this one if i can.

I would like to see you do the resto.
That would be a nice project.

Since I teach at the local school, I will have the whole summer off to do some restorations. My last day is June 3 and I don't go back until August 22. I have a 10-10S, (2) SP81, PM800, 1-76, and a S55 to restore right now. Hope I can at least get a couple of them done right before I have to go back to work this fall.

Thats awsome stink,
That would be great to see some other
full restorations on the site.
I have a few saws to do this summer as well.
But not Mac's. I'm about Mac'ed out.

If you ever get too many macs, I'd be glad to hold some of them for you. I'll take care of them and run them a little.

Looks like i opened my self up on that quote.
But i never said i was all done with Mac's, Just
need to focus on some other saws.
A Homelite 990G is one that will be hitting the
bench for a down and dirty full resto.

Stinkbait -

I've always been envious of the 3 month 'vacation' the teachers get; but they've earned it.

I vote for the SP81 next, since I've newly acquired one.

I've also PM'd Darin, asking for a 'Saw Restoration' sticky thread ...

I just may do another 81 next.

Here is a link to a sp81 build thread I did recently. I didn't repaint it though because the paint still looked good.

Hmm ... aren't you supposed to be teaching school right now? :msp_confused:

I looked through that thread entirely - very interesting and informative! :msp_thumbup:

My preferences currently lean toward stock, doll 'em up good and make 'em work well ....

Got a box of PM 610 parts arriving tomorrow from Longbar (thanks Erik!), so that is where I am beginning ... :bang:

I may try to pick your brain in the process ...

Oh, the 610 should be easy. Widen the exhaust and the intake a bit before slapping her back together... I would like to hear how well it responds to a bit of port work... :)

Well we only have 9 more days left and we are in the middle of SOL testing right now. And, all of my seniors are on a trip today. So no teaching going on right now. I only had two students in my first class of the day.
