I am not sure, but I guess it means no to the sale. I sure would love to run across one of those full wraps though. That is the first and only one that I have ever seen. It would look good on my 7-10A or 700.

Those full-wraps are common here. I sold a whole stack of NOS ones a couple years ago. I'll look around at local shops and probably come up with one.

Stinkbait - I was trying to be subtle, I haven't received any mail from VA yet...

I also have the full wrap handles on the SP81 and the Pro Mac 850, not sure if they will fit the older 10 Series but I hope to find out soon.

I still have a great vision to find some way to bend the small radius on the EMT and make some duplicate full wrap handles. If that happens I will post the results.

JJ, if you can find some please let me know as well, they do look good on the 70 cc version of the 10 Series saws.

The 800/850 saws have a totally different handlebar.

Hey Mark, I noticed that you don't have a 797. You mean I'm actually going to have a Mac that you don't? What's this world coming to? I'm counting on you guys to school me, just so I know what I'm getting:)

Brad, I have a 740 (99cc) and 795 (103 cc) but I do not have the 790 (103 cc) or 797 (123 cc), yet.

The more saws I collect, the more models and variations I realize I don't have. The marketing department of McCulloch must have been very creative at changing model numbers and the engineers were constantly changing the designs, makes for a lot of different saws if you really want to try and have one of each.

Of all the 123cc McCulloch saws made,
The 797,Super 797, CP125, SP125 and SP125C
the 797's are by far my favorite. I love the
old school design and the sound.
The power, Well you will just have to run one.
Every collector should have one.

I like the styling of all those for sure but yah, the 797 just has a muscular look about it that rocks.

The only thing better is an 895 with a 101B kart engine and dual carbs, which I'm building one of this winter. :)

Mark, I may be able to help you with this. The company I work for does tube bending (1/4" thru 10"). I happen to be the estimator. If you could you come up with a drawing for this handle I would be happy to work up some costs for you.

I need a new drum and rim for my PM 650. No hits on Ebay. Does anyone know where to get these?

McCulloch Model "1-73"

That Mac "1-73" I got last month at auction turned out to be just another regular old common model 77...

1-73?

I watched it, but was too busy spending money elsewhere to get involved. I couldn't tell if it was a 73 or a 77 but I knew I didn't have one of those, yet.

Let us know what it is like when you get it. Hoss sure likes his 73, I must say I am partial to the sound of the 1-85 myself...

Mark

i would send it back:mad:

OMG and I have been talking through pm's, it appears that the 77 may be the rarest McCulloch chainsaw there is... may be slightly rarer than the 49 and BP1 and a couple others! No way he is sending it back.

Send it to me.
I don't have one.

Lee

OMG pick me I want to be first in line:)

I was watching it too but I was taken away from the computer and didn't make it back in time to bid:mad: or OMG would have had some action!

I wasn't sure at the time what it was but as per my earlier post it appeared to match the saw (which turned out to be a 49) that my father had just picked up. So I was very interested in getting it for parts or to make one of two or...

Needless to say I am glad that OMG got it as he is an avid collector so it has found a good home!

Does anyone have a chart or website that would tell me what carb kit numbers mac goes by? I bought a bunch on mac parts and there are about 40 carb kits and I don't have a clue as to what they fit.
