Scored this off CL today. Had to have it as I have never seen one like this before. Not sure which engine it is yet. The three things I do know, are that it's not seized, it's a pump, and it weighs about 7 trillion pounds... So heavy I strained my back again. I was just feeling better, too.

I never imagined my first 2-Man saw wouldn't be a saw at all :msp_rolleyes:.

It has a Shelby Twp. plate on it, but the back-story I got was that the seller's step-dad bought it at auction from the Armada Fire Dept. Either way, I reckon it hasn't seen much time. Ought to be fun to play around with at any rate.

Great find!!! Looks very interesting!

The tank is glued and screwed. There are the two screws under the front, one under the fuel hose and one under the tank just in front of the trigger. Picture here shows the end of the screw and a closeup of the glue between the top and bottom pieces. you can see the glue in the lower right of the picture, it's grey.

Hope this help Ron.

Thanks. I missed that last screw. Do you know how tough the glue is? I don't want to break anything pulling the pieces apart, but I need to fix the leak and it will be easier to fit up if I have the parts apart. Ron

Yeah its a 755, Here is the rest of the pics. The yellow pump is a 549

Hi fellows. I have not been here much and have only a few Macs. There are lots around here and despite trying I can't continue to avoid them forever. I fixed a little saw for a local guy and he dropped this old lady around to me as thanks.
Can anyone tell me what model it is? Maybe a 1/86? Has great compression and a looks to be intact. I have not checked spark yet but have my fingers crossed. Looks to have 1/2" chain (or bigger?).
Help!

895 = :clap:.

Nardoo, My guess is a 1-85, 1-86 or a 740.
But as you know the numbers are on the bottom
of the block that will tell the model.

Nice saw. Get her running, She's made for the big wood.

I picked this up off of my local CL. The seller was about 20 miles South of where I work. This saw doesn't appear to have been used very much. I need a recoil cover screw, molded fuel line, and bar nuts. Otherwise it appears complete, oh and real shiny. I like shiny......LOL!!!
If someone could be so kind as to open these pictures for me, I'm still not sure how to do that.

Just had to give you a little grief my friend.

Nice score Jon! Glad to see you venturing into the land of Old McCulloch. I wager that this saw will become one of your favorites once you get it squared away. We will have to run your PM800 and my SP-81 together to see how different they are. LMK if you need part numbers for the screw or the fuel line.

How many drive links for 34" bar

I just bought a new 34" Mcculloch bar to put on my pm1000. Does anybody know how many links of 3/8" chain that I need for it?

Jeff
