Those little mini macs used to drive me crazy too. But now I'm a self proclaimed mini Mac specialist. They're no prob to fix now. I went through what everyone talks about, the frustration. Not now, hand me a mini and get it running in less than 30 min.

I know y'all will now think I'm crazy...

them little *******s they are a breeze. I had to repair
many back in the late 70's.

it takes alot of four letter words and alot of 6 packs. but just when you think you should throw them in the lake, it starts to make sense. they are still the worst to work on in my opinion, right next to the titans

They seem to be somewhat easier to work on than the top handle Stihls!

if anyone does find a lead on SEM coils go ahead and post. i had to rig my jonsered (solder, tape, 'liquid tape') and there isn't another COTS coil to be found, apparently. it runs for now...

Just checked stock for you all I have in the SEM coils is the GA series new/used...bummer!!

Well I am a proud new member of the mac 125 owners club! As of a couple minutes ago I got this saw:

eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices

Not a particularly good price I had it on there at $600 for the last 2 days and the price was drivin up $100 more dollars in the last 3 seconds by some f$%& with a sniping program.


But I have one wooohooo! now I just need to find a 36" bar for it so I can actually use it. Then I can sell that retardly huge 60" bar it came with. I cant wait to get it and fire up some pure vintage muscle!


Also is there any modern bars that are made that will fit an sp125?

I like the 60 inch roller nose bar almost as much as the SP125, I would not get rid of it as it may be close to impossible to replace it when you realize the SP 125 was made to have a 60 inch roller nose bar on it. Just sayin'. Saw King is a good guy to do business with, he has helped me and my friend out with the rebuild of a Stihl 075.

The price was a little high, but I think it was that high because of the bar. Those long roller noses are hard to find, and a new 60" bar and chain of any kind would cost several hundred dollars. I have run a 4' bar on my 125, and I can't imagine going much longer than that. That saw must be tough to make felling cuts with - only for the real men!!!!

Just don't go any shorter than 32" on the bar. The 125 just doesn't look right with a pee wee bar on it.
