Sounds like you just started? I already have 14 under the belt, just hoping for the rest to be quiet.
Been hellish, Christmas always is.

Merry Christmas to all...
It was a very nice day here today and we didn't have anything planned before the Christmas Eve service this evening so I spent some time this morning hauling wood into the basement then out to the little garage to start all the saws since the day was so nice. I ended up having to give the 1-76 a spritz of prime to get it going, as well as the 036 Stihl. The 840 would not run on it's own at all when I finally noticed the fuel line between the tank and the carburetor was broken. It took about 20 minutes to make it right and now the big saw is ready to go again. As soon as I find my camera I will post some photo's of the whole gang. As a teaser here is the list:

P.S. I also smoked a pork loin this afternoon so we will have something to enjoy for lunch on Sunday...

Castle Bravo for beyond expectations. I like that. Sure surprised those guys when it happened.
Merry Christmas
That looks like a hardnose bar on that saw wyk, you might want to look into a sprocket nose as they do let the chain run a bit faster. Hardnose bars are great for classic saws and dirty work, but I think your 7-10 would perform better with a sprocket nose. There are all kinds of options for bars on the 10 Series saws, in fact the same bars work on the 600 Series and the Titans as well.

I have a mac-branded windsor 28" on the way. This thing has plenty of guts to pull a 28" bar. I couldn't find 24" bar at a decent price, tho. I'd prolly prefer one of those.
What is a good price for the McCulloch branded 24" bar?
there is a decent looking 740 on ebay. i've bought some saws from this guy and i've always gone to his place to pick them up. he is a straight up guy. i might could help someone get that saw with out the shipping cost since i travel all over the south east and to iowa a few times a year. i had first dibs on it before it went up on ebay but i've already got a 740 and he wanted $100 for it with the 31" bar. i just bought the 31" bar and a 1-76 with a 28" instead.
