The righthand pull starts are not that tough and were made to be pulled straight back, with the saw resting on a log or something similar. Guys who have problems with them just aren't thinking it through.

If there isn't a stump around to put the saw on it becomes a PIA. I'm not comfortable setting it on tailgate of the truck to start it. I might be one of the few, but I prefer the primer on my 795 as apposed to the choke on the 797's.

I hate having to make that decision...

They aren't hard to work on, parts are pretty easy to find.

The variety is nearly endless.

I got your shiny full wrap ready, if I get out of the house today, it will be on it's way. I got Cliff's files and a screw to send too.

hey randy, what's that one in the background. just passed on one from the recycling yard today cause it was locked up. had some mods to it too.

easier than a mini mac.

speaking of small macs - - a guy (family friend) said his son would pay me for parts if I would fix his 160S... yay.

anyhow, I found it roughly 2 turns out both H&L... that seems like a lot... do any of you recall if that is good or is 1 turn out a better starting point? doesn't start right now. tried both places with not much luck. I really don't want to tear into this thing if I don't have to.

Overtrained - find a 7-10 in decent condition, put in a fresh set of rings, and hold on! They are almost as snappy as an SP81 but are not yet as highly coveted so you can get one reasonably priced. There seem to be a lot of them up in the NE part of the country as well. A 44 family saw (D-44, Super 44, Super 44A) or one of the 1-70 are also quite nice, lots of zip for their day. The aforementioned 250 can get you in to an 80 cc McCulloch for cheap if you keep your eyes and ears open.

Emperor - If you still have a 39 in your posession, name your price...a 797 would be nice as well.

To whom it may concern - I saw a picture of a 35 with the drill attachment and a Jacobs chuck a couple of pages back, again, name your price...I have one with the "dynamite drill" but it does not have the Jacobs chuck.

Believe it or not, I went all out on e-bay this week and bought a MM140? with the auto sharp option just to say I have one. I have a few of the chains on hand already and know where to get more. I thought it would be neat to have one working model on the shelf.
