That would go nice on my 995G but where would I find that much 1/2 inch pitch chain?

If I got that bar for my 1130G I'd pay Bill G to crank out another rim drive adaptor................or get one of the 5/8" shaft pin drive .404 pitch sprockets that are available (in several different pin counts).

I was going to let my benefactor have the saw --- unless of course I just had to keep it. Ron

... how much do ya need? No promises here (yeah, broke the last one regarding the 790 getting done) but I'll do what I can.

It is about time for me to repay you for your generosity with the basket case 850 and the 28" bar/chain combo as well.

Lee, where can Kyle buy the gaskets without using the telephone? Or who can I call and order them for him. Thanks, Ron

I buy alot from either Bob Johnson 607-638-9297
or Discount marine 906-466-2180
You can also try Randy Duncan on ebay but good
luck getting in touch whith them. There the absolute
worst to deal with.

Thanks, Lee.

Kyle, if you strike out and want me to give these guys a call just let me know what gasket(s) you need. Ron

Kyle, thanks for the offer but it's not the $ that lacking, it's the justification. Ron

Why doe's this bar say Hard Tipped and it's a Roller Nose.
Think someone converted it and put the roller on.

Lee

I saw that too. Looks like the last couple of inches of the rails before/after the roller are hardened inserts. I've never handled a General RN bar (just Oregon, Remington, and Cannon RN's) so I don't know if that's how Generals are made. Looks to me like the angle of the bar leading up to the roller is a bit shallow for it to have been a hardnose that's been modified to take a RN....

Interesting. Mark your bar looks like somebody cut the end off a McCulloch hardnose and welded the the last three or so inches of the end of a RN bar (looks to be Oregon) onto it.

the well traveled 550. After lugging the 790 around, this felt like a 10 series.

I was able to fit an 8 pin sprocket with no trouble. That skip chain needs to go, full comp coming after I sell a couple revolvers and get moved.

I think things are gonna be on hold now that my Ranger is being a POS. ####er won't fire up and run. No spark. Spent 73 bucks on a new coil pack (something I read to be a common problem) and turns out that was wasted. :angry2:

Not a classic 550, but guess it will have to do. Minty, and never touched up that we know of. Still has the remnants of the "read your owners manual" sticker on top.

More pictures later, the computer is actin weird.
