Aslo lookin' for a new flywheel cover for the 797. The one I have is thrashed, and the plastic screen insert is busted. What other big Macs have the same style cover? 707's, Kart engines?

Hey Gary-

You mean you need the fan housing? All of the Super Series engines use the same fan housing, with some having right-hand start like the 797 and some having the left-hand start like the CP-125. I have an extra fan housing for 797 that you can have. Would it go to the same address as the carburetor did?

LMAO... my buddy looked in shock as drop started the thing with the 36" bar resting on a log... I set it on the ground as it idled. He looked at me and asked if he could pick it up. I said, "Pick it up? Heck, you pick it up you might as well cut with it..."

So up it went... and he put it through a 32" Doug fir round I had there... he about #### himself when the saw pulled into that log. He backed off the throttle and I yelled to him to pour the coals to 'er. He pinned it, and that thing sounded like a Harley as it ate through that log. He was grinnin' ear to ear.

When we shut it down... he said it felt like "controlled chaos"... His words exactly.

He asked where he could get one... I already have him on CL and ebay searchin' for saws...

LOL, that's it.

We can compare them to Corvettes, let's say you are cruisin' in a new Vette, you pull up next to a '68 Stingray, you can't hear your engine over the rumble of the 427. It's muscular lines mock the modern style, it exudes exessive power, you sit still as it pulls away, sure the new Vette could probably take it, but you feel cheated, something is missing....

Thanks Lee... I got this saw from Rich Dugan... it's a monster... just not real pretty to look at. The oiler still doesn't wanna pump sometimes. No matter how much I pump it. So I gotta tear that off of there and figure out what the problem is. Or just run some diesel or kerosene through the pump...

Hey man, yeah I'm planning on making it up to Bob's...I'm currently moving into a new job with the Forest Service but should be settled by then. If you need anything else for that old monster, let me know. I'd like to see you running it at the GTG.

Hey guys I picked up a Pro Mac 10-10. I plan on keeping it, it is a very good running saw. How ever I need the body part that covers the muffler behind the clutch cover, you know the part that keeps ya from getting burnt. Also need a oil tank cap and oiler button. Can one of you guys help me out.

ms460soodchuck - Parts from any 10 Series saw will fit that one, probably cost less to find a parts saw than to have the needed items shipped to you.

Over in my Austraila thread I just posted some photo's of the SP85 (Dolmar 116) that Gumnuts gave me.

Here we are in the parking lot of the hotel this morning, me holding on to my new saw.

Graeme also brought along his beautifully restored SP125, a 790 he recently acquired, and a Dolmar 166 in Australian McCulloch colors.

I want to say thanks to Graeme over here as well.

THANKS!

I have been set straight by Gmax, the SP85 is in fact a Dolmar 133 Super. Hard to keep up with everything that has flown past my brain in the past three days!

If I can manage it, I would like to bring this saw (SP85), the SP105 Belgian sent me, and a couple of others to the PN GTG in June that is being discussed in another thread.
