still need some random parts before she goes back together: rear shroud, air filter, tank gasket, carb adjustment port plug (my term anyway)...

can't wait, bored, carbon reeds, thinner head gasket...should be a hoot!

1-70 BTW

cp125

Finally I came home and it was sitting on the porch. It has the oval exhaust port with a really shiny cylinder which leads me to believe that it is a chrome bore? So is this a cp with a sp125c engine or is this a sp125c with a cp cover? It has a brand new muffler but it is for the square port bridged. I do know one thing; this thing will definitely break your wrist. Intake boot looks good. Upper anti vibe mount looks good but it looks like it needs the lower anti vibe mount. You guys will probably know more from the pictures than I do in person so tell me what I have. The only CP part of that saw is the cover. To tell whether it is a "c" or not, stick a fish magnet in there. If it sticks, it's an early, linered SP. If not, it is a "c".

Which carb and airbox does it have?

It appears to be a SP125C cylinder but the muffler you show is the wrong one the proper SP125C muffler fits flush with no short stand to space the muffler out from the cylinder

heres the one you need

Caution the cylinder fitted to your saw could also be off a SP105c measure the bore size to be certain

Ya I know. The sp has the oval port while the cp has the bridged rectangular correct? This muffler is brand new no suit hasn't even been used. Does anyone have the correct muffler for this saw they would be willing to trade for mine?

sInce you guys are talking 125's i am looking for the push button for the manual oiler. I posted it in the swap meet thread with no luck, also how does it attach, i can see the rod and looks to be complete.

At the GTG, Eccentric had a saw with the 63 carb on it to show me the difference. Now I have to hand prime the carb and it is hard not to flood it. Hopefully someone has a carb.
THANKS

I have a HL 63. I need a Fuel tank for a McCulloch 850 or 895. Tom

All you need is the button? PM me tomorrow as a reminder to look. If I have one, it's yours.

The SP105/125 tanks are sealed, no gaskets used. You will have to come up with a different approach if the tank is actually leaking.

There are a couple of e-bay sellers offering mufflers for the SP105/125 models, I think the guy in Vermillion, OH has the whole muffler, Bryce (customchainsawparts) has just the body of the muffler.

If you can't find a fuel line anywhere else, Sawking probably has one.

You can check with motorcycle shops, they frequently run into a situation where they need to clean and seal the inside of a tank that they can't access easily. I have used some products from POR, maybe POR15 or something like that. Red Kote is also a good choice if the tank is really clean inside, just pour it in, roll it around to coat all surfaces, and repeat a few times to build it up.

There is another thread in the stickies about rebuilding an SP125 where the owner describes a technique to separate the tank halves. This is not an endorsement, informational only...
