If you do not have the saw I would guess it might be a 790 or 740, no dsp valve... It is NOT a 795 or 797.

Yeah i seen it i have couple here in my arsenal of Mac's one for each and every occassion you can have it

With that tank style, the super series flywheel cover, the auto oiler pump, and no DSP lever, I also think it's a 99cc 740 or 103cc 790.


And for Mini Mac Man......RK-88HL is indeed the repair kit you need. DG-5HL is the diaphragm/gasket only kit if you choose to go that route.

The auto oiler up front would indicate a 700 Series saw, no compression release means 740 or 790 as already pointed out.

Is there any reason you could not put a bar and clutch cover on it and make it a chainsaw? Probably no oiler I'm guessing.

Yep. 795 based. I have one of those too. Came to me in the fitted steel box. Mine has a 14" wheel (My machine is a 14/65) rather than the 12" wheel (12/65) on the saw in that auction. There was a Racine labeled version in another auction recently as well. My machine has the choke type flatback carb as seen on Super 250 and Super 550 chainsaws. I've never seen this carb on a top-tank McCulloch before. Just Tilly HL's and primer type flatbacks. If this carb won't cooperate, I'll swap on an HL.

The starter cover on my saw is broken (somebody probably shut it off without pulling the rope out first......and the cover got busted). I need a replacement LH start large frame Mac starter cover for it. Anyone have one to spare? I could use a super series flywheel cover too, as what's on the saw is heavily corroded on the bottom.
