I sent him a PM a few days ago and nothing. Do you a better way to contact him?

Just asking, but does anyone have a source for a bar on the 5-49 or know what I should be looking for. I believe I know where the bar is that would go with this saw, but due to families, parts, equipment it isn't going to get back where it probably came from. There really isn't any blame to be assigned, just no sharing by the current owner of the bar. Thanks for the help guys.
Got a grinder/mill close by to use? Or maybe a old school bar shop? I got another bar. That I had the tip welded on. But I ended up with a replacement so its hanging in the back of the shop. Straight bar**

I do happen to have a small grinder and I even have a belt sander. I also happen to be good friends with the owner of a machine shop who has a plethora of machines. On the other side I would have to compensate you in some way for the help, even if the bar is for my neighbor's saw.

I meant straight bar even though I didn't elaborate, thanks.

Thanks guys. The 800 should run. It just had a new intake boot and other stuff.
AS member Sean (outdoorlivin247) brought me over a truckload of saws, this was one of them.

I picked up a bunch of freebie saws. This was the only Mac in the bunch.

I'm thinking Wendell might have gotten the parts and he's fallen off the board lately. Mitch is usually around quite a bit, maybe he's trying to get a hold of Wendell for the information.

There's a guy on some other saw forums that makes repro carb kits, he doesn't list the 5-49 carb, but might be able to make one if you send him the carb. Google "Sugar Creek Supply"

I added an SP80 this week and have an SP81E on the way...

The 80 arrived with a broken brace (lower rear handle) but I may be able to find a replacement, piston and cylinder look very good.

The 81E is supposed to run but I probably won't see it 'till I get back from Australia.

Looks like I still need an 805, 850 Super, DE80, and an 8200...I have a couple of PM800's and an SP81 for trading stock.

That's cool. I hope to add a sp81E to the collection one day. I can't wait to make my way back up there and run some more 82cc macs. Since my last trip up there, I've acquired a pm8200, DE80, and pm805. I'll be sure to bring those.

I'd really like to run that sp81E and see what it's like. I'll keep you posted.

Did anyone here take advantage of the box of McCulloch parts that I posted up in the "I saw it on ebay/craigslist" thread on Knoxville craigslist? I was gonna post it up here, but someone gobbled it up fast. I Don't think it was on clist for a whole 24hrs. I wanted the parts but I wasn't around at the time and wanted someone on AS to get them. The add said there was a whole p&c kit marked $95 I believe.

Mark, I might have one. I'll check and let you know. Ron

I was making the rounds prospecting today looking to fill some holes in the lineup and I think it's time to liquidate.

Prices seem to have gone mental on EVERYTHING McCulloch.

At this rate, my kartsaw should fetch $5000 if I wait until spring...

What gives?

If it was free, I have to wonder what's wrong with it. Looks like nothing. Nice score. I gotta find one of those...

Starting to look sideways at that 5500...
