Little Super 2 that a friend gave me. Said that his brother could not figure out what was wrong with it so he gave it to him. Probably just a carb problem. This one is a older magnesium one with the adjustable high speed so I think I will keep it and fix it. Never liked working on these because of all the gas/oil lines and how dirty they get inside, but looks like a good limber!
Tore that sucker down today and went through 2 cans of starter fluid cleaning the whole engine housing and case. Between that and a scraping it almost looks brand new. Gas line was good but that thing would have never oiled since 2 of the 3 oil lines (duck bill pressure and main) were stretched and spliced. Surprised the duck bill and its assembly were still there. Cleaned the carb and checked the piston. It look great. Should look great since it has the fixed high speed jet. I was wrong, it looked like another jet was there since there was so much dirt/grease :msp_biggrin:. Just need to run and get some line for it and it should fire right up. Every one of these little Homelite's that I have fixed have always ran and oiled for me after a good carb cleaning and new lines...and I doubt this ones gonna let me down.
