Sorry haven't updated in a while. Been waiting on parts. I ordered crank seals, had to wait a week, only got 1. So they had to reorder the other and will take another week, so I'm going to have to wait till near the end of the week to get it all together.

That is the worst feeling in the world.... waiting on parts. I mean, you get all motivated on a project, big steps.... THEN, BAM - waiting for a week for parts... It's a terrible feeling.

I always call parts houses up to about 100 miles away before I start thinking about ordering parts. It just kills me to have to wait for parts.

Looks like you are going to have an awesome saw when it is all said and done...

That's not the worst feeling. The worst feeling is when you've just spent several nights and weekends designing and building a hotrod saw, only to have it disintegrate into pieces seconds after starting it for the first time. That's the worst feeling in the world.

ha ha LOL kinda like the first time I had this saw going? ran for a couple of minutes then the rod bearing siezed up!!!

I don't blame you. I've got a dedicated parts vehicle for times like this... It's my 1995 Ford Escort... gets close to 35 mpg.... So, for a 200 mile round trip, I'm out just about $10 in fuel.

Sometimes for me the thrill of the chase is half the fun.

Sure fair enough. I got a car that get's better mileage then that. I just don't have the time or desire to drive for a few hours to get a few saw parts.

haha, who knows. I'd like to run bio-diesel in my truck though. But that's another huge project that I would like to do, build a bio-diesel plant.

Here she is all done!!! Just finished it up tonight. To late to fire it up and start cutting some cookies, don't think the neighbors will like it at 10pm. Gona fire it up tomorrow and do a few cuts and tune!! Can't wait.
